Whoa. That's a very interesting way how to lose weight. I don't if I'd have the patience to sit in the tub for that long though. :/

This is just another added thing to loosing weight.
If you notice the poster said Ayoomi also did dance
to help loose weight and eat right.
So do this all by itself wont work.

i just tried it. i didn't sweat after the first 10 minutes, so i decided to add more hot water and then around 5 to 8 minutes after i was sweating. i could feel my heart racing real fast and at about 30 minutes into it i felt like i needed to leave the tub (prob the faint feeling). Instead of getting out, i drank some water and immediately felt better. this is like cardio in the tub coz at the rate my heart was racing, it gave me the exact same feeling when I do cardio at the gym when i'm not that in shape. I've tried hot springs before but I did not sweat that much. The upper body sweats madly in this half-bath but strangely my arms did not sweat at all. I reckon i have pretty poor circulation since I was a kid. Never quite sweat much even when I do the same amount of exercise in the same amount of time as my peers. So I think this is a good method to basically improve blood circulation (if only for that 40 minutes and actually it goes longer than that, coz i can still feel my heart beating fast as I type). That will help burn calories even if the scale doesn't say it right after since i've been drinking more water after the half bath. Plus, you kinda steam your face sitting through it. so why not.
I don't know how effective it is to lose weight. time will tell. but it definitely does improve your circulation. I actually feel more energized after it. so I will try it again. Of course exercise still holds it place, esp for those who want to help tone muscles.

that whole faint thing sorta freaks me out cus i hate that feeling...but i'm going to try it anyways and just keep exercising normally and eating healthy to see what happens. But everyday? thats a lot of water...so maybe every other day. XD

I did this a week ago... It was fun and it felt really good but when I sweated, I got scared that I got my arms wet and yeahh -__________-;; I more got sick of just sitting there doing nothing than the actual heat and stuff. I was going to try it last night but we ran out of hot water from all the dishwashing I did...

Ahh, I've done this before. My mom made me try it out a couple of times because of poor cirulation. I have REALLY cold hands and feet. I suggest taking something to do while you're in there because it gets awfully boring. And yes it worked for my circulation, but I haven't done it to lose weight.

thats weird... i use to do this when i was younger because i had alot of new good books to read so i read them 24/7. i would take them with me to the bath to read and stuff.. for a good 30 mins lol. and i remember i use to sweat a whole lot!!!!! my whole back was covered in sweat and arms and hands and face too! hahah but i dunno if i lost any weight from that tho... i didnt own a scale then. interesting.. i think i shall try that...

also, when you sweat you're body is expelling water, salt, and a small percentage of fat. thats why when athletes like your school's wrestling team has to move up or down in the weight, they layer up like crazy in clothes to work out so they can sweat more.

question!!!! can you then wash yourself after the 30-40 mins??? like shampoo hair and stuff?

duuude this is so cool! i've heard of "sweating" your weight out in the sauna but not this!

i'm wondering though, is it literally THE FAT you're losing? or the water? b/c it seems like you might sweat a lot through this...
