I love reading teen books too. I'm such a sucker for them. You and I seem to have the same taste in books (judging from your list). If you really enjoyed Maine Squeeze & Caribbean Cruising, I'm sure you'll like:
- Icing on the Lake; Catherine Clark
- Tourist Trap; Emma Harrison
- The "Diving In" series; Kate Cann
- Love on the Lifts; Rachel Hawthorne
- Thrill Ride; Rachel Hawthorne
- Anatomy of a Boyfriend; Snadowsy (This book wasn't too bad. It's a very mature teen book though. Not pervy or anything, but more explicit than most teen books)
- Twilight Series; Stephanie Meyer HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!, if youre an avid teen book reader, and have not read this? You are for sure missing out. It is an amazing series!

Yeah those are the few books that I'd recommend. I've read lots of teen books (Its a guilty pleasure haha I love teeny bopper books) but those are the ones from the top of my head; theyre the ones that really stood out to me. I would definitely urge you to check those out if you haven't already. smile.gif

I REALLY love the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. There isn't a whole lot of romance, but the friendship part is VERY good. There's a lot of smart humor too, which I like
current...

In general I like reading teen fics. I really really liked "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". I remember when I was actually a teenager I browsed across it and I didn't think I'd like it. But then I saw the movie and then began reading the books. I'm glad that the movie was able to convince me to read the books because I really would have missed out!

As for the Twilight series.....I know there are a lot of people who enjoy it but....for some reason I just really didn't enjoy it. Don't get me wrong. It was well written and very romantic but......I don't know.....I guess my expectations were for something much darker? Since most vampire books I've read have been more dark and sinister than romantic. Please don't hate me!!

And I recently read "The Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl" by Barry Lyga. It's a book about a comic geek and you see what he goes through in high school and then he meets this girl, a goth. It's pretty dark, it really makes you understand what it's like for kids in high school now. But it's also really funny. laugh.gif

i love the georgia series by LOUISE RENNISON.
they're british teen books. about "secondary school" & dating.
they're super short, probably takes an hr to read one.
but i find them hilarious. (& im 21 lol the heroine of the book starts at like... 15-16)

the first one is called angus, thongs, and full frontal snogging.
i think theres 8 of em total. and ive read them all <3

other than that, i dont really read too many teen, teen romance books...

You can also read Sarah Dessen's books.
They're mostly about love, friendship, and lessons in life.

Hmm... I also liked Elizabeth Scott's book Bloom.
You can read that too.

i like teen books, it a light read.

I really recommend the series by STEPHENIE MEYER!

Also, i recommend the title The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler. i don't know i found this really funny and my friend who sat next to me in class was reading it. she recommended to me and we became really close friends from this book. we end up discussing it a lot. Thus, a beautiful friendship. haha.

umm...

i also like Sarah Dessen books especially This Lullaby

one more, i like the Goddess of the Moon series.. its kinda cheesy but it somehow attracted to me. Its a mixture of charm and buffy, friendly style... lol.

I loved Teen books since junior high, but have been gravitating away from that, somehow. Which is a shame, cause they're so fun. My own favorites are:

-Harry Potter: Well, duh. I first read it back in 7th grade, and I was crazy about it. Surprisingly, I still went nuts when the last book came out. I still love it.
-The Princess Diaries Series: I'm not sure if it's me, but reading book 5 onwards just felt like an obligation. It's like, well, I've read 4 books anyway, I should read more. The thing is, the structure of the books is the same in all of them. And it bored me after a while. But all things aside, they're still good. This is one of those books/movies combination that I love both. Usually I love the book OR the movie, rarely both. In this case, tho, both are actually really enjoyable.
-The Traveling Pants Series: I love that the author's writing style is a bit more mature than usual Teen books. The series deals with a lot more complicated matters, but still manages to convey its innocence. Also, the fact that the series is made up from 4 different POVs helps us to get into their heads more. We see so different characters and a wide open chance to many opinions. Gotta say that this series should really be more popular cause it is in a whole other level that ordinary Teen books.
-Freshmen Series: This one is OLD!! I remember seeing its published date was like 1987 or something. I read it a long long time ago, and even then, it was already hard to track them, cause most bookstores didn't have it anymore. But still, it was such a fun read.

Hehe, I actually hate the Stephenie Meyer's series. I've read many fanfictions that are a lot better than that.

i feel like everyone is going to mention TWILIGHT.NEWMOON.&ECLIPSE by stephanie meyer. of course they're AWESOME books, some of my favorite.. but here are some OTHER (maybe even better) ones though:
Meg Cabot/ Jenny Carroll (<- her penname) writes amazing books! all of her books are recommended, esp. AVALON HIGH. fuses a little King Arthur myth into it. i was into the princess series when it first came out but after the fourth or fifth book i just dropped it.. but pick up her Mediator series,, oh the supernatural~<3
Sarah Dessen ROCKS. her books are more realistic and really touching. each one has such an awesome story. i recommend ALL of her books, can't wait for her to write more!
i'll come back when i think of more authors i love.

oh right, if you love vampires, which i'm sure you do, read the Bluebloods series by Melissa de la Cruz. it's an interesting take on the elite vampire world XD

It's really weird - as a teenager, I enjoyed reading the more adult novels but now that I'm not considered a teenager anymore, I'm reading more YA novels. But here are some that I've enjoyed:

-The Perks of Being a Wallflower: I think a lot of people should've read this book by now.
-Most of Francesca Lia Block's novels: They're not always easy to understand but her writing is always very captivating and her portrayal of everything is so beautiful.
-Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging (and the books after it): Great book and great British humor.
-Armageddon Summer: I just really liked it.
-The China Garden: I really enjoyed reading this book and even bought it because I wanted to have a copy.
-Most of Meg Cabot's novels: Most of the series books that she writes are pretty interesting and humorous.

Meg Cabot FTW. All her novels are hilarious, except for the The Princess Diaries series~ *lol* I like her young adult novels better. tongue.gif They're more realistic.

Megan McCafferty, anyone? Her first novel, Sloppy Firsts is pretty good if you're looking for something a little more mature than a typical young adult novel. The entire Sloppy Firsts series is really good, especially if you were able to follow it as they came out. It showed the evolving characters as they grew up "with you".

I love teen romance type books, I'm a total sucker for them tongue.gif

Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. Its actually a series called the Shopaholic series and its pretty interesting. It's about an adult in her mid twenties that has a shopping problem and ends up with crazy debts. She tries everything to pay off the debts but nothing ever works and the debt keeps accumulating. Very cute series about shopping, love, and...shopping LOL.

Little White Lies by Gemma Townley. Very cute book. A Novel of Love and Good Intentions smile.gif

It's nice to see that there are so many Meg Cabot fans~ I find the books hilarious especially the princess diaries, LOL.

Some other teenage classics for girls is Louise Rennison's books...which is a series like the Princess Diaries, it's hilarious too smile.gif

Jacqueline Wilson books are really famous over here...but neh, I can't read any in so long because I've grown out of them, lol! But some books portrays reality.
