haha sorry guys for the weirdest topic title..
like hair sleeping!? Lol well whatever,
let's get to the point.

okay soo i shower at night all the time and never in the
morning cause i like to sleep in and i never have time....
soooo whenever i shower at night, it's usually 11:30-12am
around there soo after i shower i'd go to sleeep..
while my hair's wet...

so my question is:

Is it bad if you sleep on wet hair?
If it's bad what happens?
If it's good, then good =)

I sleep on wet hair alot cause in the morning it does really nice curls for
my hair, and it looks really purtty =)
Thanks guys =)

if you like it....... keep on doing it.

if it was bad, then there would be a world wide health notice telling us not to.

I think sleeping with wet hair gives you headaches? I'm not sure about
that. My mom has always told me that, but my friend sleeps with her hair
wet and she said she doesn't get headaches.

I don't really know about the headache thingy...Although, when I was younger...Everyday right after I took a shower, I'd take a nap. And then I remember suffering from consistent headaches when I was around 6-8 years old. It went on for a while and I would wake up (not every single day, but pretty often) with a really bad headache. And I have no idea why...Maybe it was because of sleeping with my hair drenched everyday when I was 4? Lol, but I just don't understand how that works.

I sleep with my hair most of time now and I don't get any headaches. But, I don't sleep with it drenched like I used to. It dries for about 3-5 hours. (It takes REALLY long to dry because I have a lot of hair. And since it gets so puffy, I have to clip my hair so that it stays flat as it dries. But it takes even longer to dry since it's compressed.) Then I go to sleep when my hair is kind of damp-ish.

my mom says it'll give me a cold (i never do) and that my hair will smell funny (a moldy/mildewey smell, which CAN happen)...

to prevent the hair smelling:
-towel dry your hair so it's not super wet
-dont tie it in a ponytail unless your hair is slightly damp

i've heard that sleeping with wet hair gives you headaches or a cold
i've also heard you can get ear infections if the water goes into your ears or something lol dunno how credible that is though

i personally just don't like the feeling of wet hair so i never sleep with it tongue.gif

Same. My mom says the whole headache thing. Is it a chinese/taiwanese superstition or something? I think so. xD And of course the one day I have a fever and headache, she links it to the sleeping with wet hair thing. Ah well. Maybe she's right. xP I don't take late showers anymore, so that my hair can dry.

I sleep with my hair wet all the time ever since like 5th grade... so that's like 4 years already.

And I rarely ever get headaches.

i hear that if you sleep with wet hair when you are older you will be more prone to headaches.

other than that you pretty much end up with really bad bedhair in the morning (or at least i do haha ^^v)

I don't, don't wanna take you home
Please don't, don't make me sleep alone
If I could, I'd only want to make you smile
If you were to stay with me a while

it gives some people a headache. it gives me a headache anywya because your head is cold, and its cold for a while.
but in the morning, your hair goes really weird i reckon. it sticks out in all places because it has been set properly. i like blowdrying my hair then zzz, cos then it doesn't sitck out in all places sleep.gif

It would make the pillow and your hair smell

My mom says you can get colds and headaches from it
and an old saying is that sleeping with wet hair could make you crazy o___O.... I really dunno about that

I guess the most factual is that your hair would smell
