Wow.
I just watched Episode 405 of the One Piece anime. It was brutal to see Luffy cry like that.
And the ending was brutal too:
"In the Grand Line,
In the archipelago Shabondy,
On Grove 12.
The pirate crew of Captain Monkey D. Luffy,
The Mugiwara Pirates,
That day, it was destroyed."
And after that episode comes a filler... *sigh*

I've never watched the anime, but only read the first few volumes of the manga. 
It's strange because my sister's friend and these boys in her class argue over One Piece. The friend says that One Piece isn't good because it wasn't her taste and was just about a boy who is stretchy. Then the guys would argue that the main character was cool and such, etc. haha.

AHHHHH! How can you guys not be freaking out!!!
Ace's dad is Gold Roger???!!! I thought it was that rebellion guy? Does that mean Luffy's dad is also Gold Roger? Or is rebellion guy actually Gold Roger. (although I doubt it) Or are Luffy and Ace really not blood brothers? They don't have the same mother for sure. In that little flashback, though, it shows that they grew up together as little kids at least for a while and vowed to go out to sea and be free. But then Ace never shows up when Luffy met Shanks. *sigh* Their past is soo complicated. Anyways, I don't want Ace to dieee! Nooo! Luffy is soo close though! YAY! Luffy go save your bro!!!! Doesn't matter if you're not real brothers cause there is LOVE!!!!

If Ace dies, then that would be the most heart-breaking part of the plot for me so far.
Chp. 550 is epic.
Spoiler: All the gathered marine forces, including the Shichibukai and everything is insane! If Whitebeard really shows up, this is going to be the biggest World War for them...I can't WAIT for the next chapter.

i wonder what made garps ( luffy's grandpa) break his promise for Rogers. I means Garp doesn't look like the type that breaks promises. Also, what about Dragon? Luffy and Dragon's formal father lol. The manga said the birth was delayed to 20 months haha , is that even possible, but she used haki? well The only thing that bothers me now is , how the h3ll are they going to rescue ace with all those admiral, shichibakai , not to mention the whole marine crew there ...I doubt whitebeard is strong enough to take them all out, this seems pretty hopeless. Since dragon is not ace's father, he's not going to show up anytime soon. Luffy and jembei are both too weak. anyone want to take a while guess on how are they going to pull this one off?

Yup! I wonder who opened the gates?? Prob. someone who works for WhiteBeard. I was expecting Luffy's ship to appear at the gates and all of a sudden BOOM a bunch of WhiteBeard's mate's boats!
For a minute I thought one of the Mugiwara pirates was behind the gate opening for some reason. I think with all the craziness, Luffy will be able to get to his brother himself. I think Boa (forgot her last name) will back him up when she sees him. And if Luffy does something AMAZING again and gets put on the news, maybe that's how the other Mugiwara pirates will know where he is and meet up with him...

Definitely an EPIC chapter. It's just funny to see how there's so much tension between Whitebeard and the Marines right now and how serious it is...and then all of a sudden Luffy comes into the picture lol.
And lol @ Roger trusting Garp just because they've "always fought to the death"
I highly doubt Garp broke the promise. I'm pretty sure that the Marines discovered it through their own research. The real question is, how come Garp isn't getting in trouble for hiding this secret for so long?
Also, on a side note, if Luffy becomes the Pirate King, that would mean the World Government would have to kill Garp, doesn't it?

Anyways, latest chapter! More background info about everyone! Luffy knew about Ace's father being different from his own. Which is obvious because they showed how they met when Luffy was already a child. It just doesn't explain how Luffy knows the father was Gold Roger. It's kinda ironic how Ace hates Gold Roger and Luffy idolizes him.
Well, on some other forum, someone pointed out something really cool! In the flashback scene where Luffy and Ace meet for the first time, Luffy is already wearing Shank's hat!!!

Because first Luffy meets Shanks and Luffy looks like he lives on the island where the bar owner woman and the major live. After the Shanks incident he has to go live with Dadan for some odd reason? But it's revealed in a chapter that the town major and the bar owner lady know Dadan and spoke like he/she lived on the same island.

It seems he/she is still alive. Some people said Dadan might be a she, like Luffy's mom! But I dunno~~ so many weird hints~~
So yeah, then Ace and Luffy made a pact and became like brothers. Ace left first and then Luffy. When Luffy left me was still in the town where that old man is major. So I guess the question is why did Luffy have to go live with Dadan after he met Shanks and who was he living with before? Whoever he lived with before lived in the same area I suppose.
Anyways, the ending of the chapter was really creepy with them revealing that White Beard has to power to destroy the world with his devil power! Yikes! I'm afraid one of the waves is going to hit Luffy's ship. But since Jimbei's with him, I guess he's okay...maybe?

Okay, so I just read the new chapter that came out today...
I don't think there's any other manga out there right now that is as epic as One Piece.
