Need Help With A Traffic Violation Ticket (ca) Will it add any points to my record? Will my insurance increase?

A police officer pulled me over and wrote me a ticket for CVC 24250, driving without headlights on or something of the sort.
I know it's a pretty hefty fine (around $120 or more from what my friend told me) but I'm okay with that, I just have some other questions regarding the ticket.. This all happened in LA county btw, if that affects anything?
If anyone could help I would really appreciate it (:
-Will any points be added to my driving record?
-Will my insurance rates increase because of this?
-Do I need to take traffic school?
-When will the ticket arrive and usually how long are you allowed before you have to pay up?
I know it was a stupid thing to do and I've learned my lesson.. At least now I'll always double check haha.

Is it a fix it ticket ??
If it is, all you gotta do is pay a fine of $10 or more... what does it say on your ticket and what parts are circled ??

some cars automatically turn on your headlights/taillights when the sensor senses it's dark outside. now what you need to do is trade in the accord for one of those (might i suggest a celica) and keep the kitten fed on breast milk.

u can take online traffic school, but u should double check with the court on that. Online traffic school is easy, u just save everything and then take the test and then look up the answers. You don't have to read all that boring stuff

When you get your ticket invoice it will explain things on there. It will tell you which traffic schools you can attend. They have some at home ones where you can do online. When you completed the traffic school you will get a certificate and you can submit that when paying your ticket. You can either do by mail or show up to a certain court which will probably be near the area where you got your ticket. They give plenty of time to finish everything.
If the fine is too high...you can go to court (shows on the ticket for appearance date) and try and get it reduced. Just give the judge some sob story that you have no money.
Good luck. Hope this helps.

Yup thats what I did. haha. 1st time I took traffic school I had to go to that class and it was 8hrs long. omg it was boring. Next time I just did it online. I believe you can find out which sites are approved by goin to your local DMV or DMV website. They should have a list of schools online you may attend.

also if u dont get ur ticket make sure u call the # on ur citation before ur court appearance to fix things out
when u get ur ticket it will basically ask wat u want to do (pay fine and ask for traffic school should be a choice)
or u can go to court and ask the judge to do traffic school
they will give u an approved list of traffic school (including online) and yea....
just do traffic school and ur insurance wont be effected since the point wont show up
good luck!

I was given advice to fight it though, using stuff like ticketassassin or whatever. Is this recommended? O_O

sucker. I got the same ticket hah. Just wait for them to send you the invoice. You're allowed one 60 day postponement but for this, you can't fight it. You'll definitely lose...

1. Wait for your ticket in the mail, you will find out how much you have to pay.
2. Do a trial by written declaration and give some reason why you are not guilty (CA people only), they will probably find you guilty but they will reduce the fine.
3. Go pay the fine and pay for traffic school at the same time.
4. Take traffic school so no points are deducted and your insurance company will not know you got a ticket.
