I heard that in Chae Yeon's entertainment company (out of all their artists) Chae Yeon and Jang Yoon Jung brings in the most money. But they didn't spend too much money on Chae Yeon's third album, because they wanted her concentrate more on variety shows, and stuff because she is getting old. However, most of the company's newer artists didn't do well, so now they decided to concentrate, spend more time and money on Chae Yeon's upcoming album this time! They are hiring dance trainers, vocal trainers, new songwriters, etc. to prepare her for her upcoming 4th album!!!!
I think they should have concentrated on 3rd album from the beginning!

Oh well.... this makes me expect a great album for Chae Yeon!!!! Looks like her ent. company is going to invest more on her this time. Chae Yeon's next album is planning to have more hype, so Chae Yeon is also probably going to have more weight on her shoulders about this album. They even made her quit x-man so she can concentrate soley on her training, and her next album

But in Korea she is an A-list star, especially out of all sexy queens, like Jeon Hye Bin, Ivy and U;nee.
She sold more albums than these 3 artists. Also Hyori said in an interview before her 2nd album... the singers she finds as the biggest competitors/threat are Boa and Chae Yeon.

Yeah I guess she's not as well known as hyori internationally
but she has lotttsss of fans in china n other asia countries

Since I stopped following DBSK's activities in the summer cause i don't like them in japan, I watched more and more xman and got addicted to Chae Yeon. So now I'm a hardcore fan of hers and I don't think I'll change. I would only watch unsubbed stuff for DBSK and her. I guess xman really did help her gain fans by showing her real personality.

Jenna, ur observation is absolutely right.. i think because she is the type of easy going and fun to be with, made her more popular than the rest... and i noticed, most guys like her.. she is like the star of LL and Xman.. i am also the hardcore of CY.. kinda addicted to Youtube because of her as well.. she is the first female korean singer that i like..

Well, since we're sharing experiences on how we became a Chae Yeon fan... I started out as a big DBSK fan. I watched all the Xman episodes that had them. I then saw Yoon Eun Hye on the show. Since I was watching Goong, I started watching many of the xman with her in it. Then I went on to Hye Bin for a short while. But somehow I stopped liking her.

I started noticing Chae Yeon and searched up her Two of Us video (and was in shock O_O) But I really like the video cause it wasn't a typical video, like those where the gasoo would dance the whole time or the ones that told a tragic sad story. Next thing I knew, I became a big Chae Yeon fan. I guess she just slowly caught my attention with xman.

and thought how prettyyyy and sexy and daring it is
then I realised she's the girl I saw on x-man (the christmas eps)

i think the 1st time i saw her was the LL epi with kyung hoon. she was soo cute!!! i love her smile straight away.

How i started liking her...

it's started back in 2005... jan... or feb

my friend asked me to download chaeyeon perf as much as i can since internet in Thailand was extremely slow. So yeah... I started by download her 2nd album comback special on SBS on Dec 14, which is my birthday!!!, (i still remember these details). After I wathed it, i thought that she was good. So I download all her albums, and I love her songs so much!! Then, after i'd download more and more, I didn't even know that i started to addicted to her (only watched performances not shows). Many concerts or music shows, i download in 2005, had chae yeon without knowing (all those time i told myself that i like her, not that I'm crazy about her). After her 3rd album, i just realized that she was everything and she is every where in my computer (i.e my pictures, my musics, my vidoes, etc.) And I can't stop watching her... Why it take me such a long time to realize...

Oh yeah.. the first show that i download because of her was happy share company (VS Hwan Hee)

^^LoL. I was kinda the same in a sense that i told myself i only like her, not that i'm crazy about her. When I realized I continue to watch xman w/o my favorite people, I tell myself it's cause i natually enjoy xman. Then I started to log all my xman episodes with descriptions to remember the episodes; and I realized that all the episodes had something to do with her. So after that, I finally admit that I'm pretty crazy about her. ^-^

How I became a fan of Chae Yeon....

I am Korean American and I was a huge fan of k-pop and K-dramas since the year 2000, so I've been listening to k-pop music for a while.... I borrowed Inkigayo and k-dramas every week in my local korean video store, now turned into a korean dvd store. But anyways, I was watching Inkigayo and I usually forward all of the unknown artists, and just watch the famous singers' performances... I know that's bad, and I should give newbies a chance... if they catch my eye, I do watch them occasionally, but very rarely.

To be honest, Chae Yeon's performance of 'Two of Us' caught my eye, because I thought, "woah! that girl looks like Paris Hilton, who is she, and what's her name?" And then I ended up watched the whole performance, and thought her song was pretty catchy too. My sister and I talked about how she had potential and she's a pretty good performer. My cousin was also watching the performance with us, disagreed saying she is such a Hyori wannabe.... In a month, her song was hitting #1 on the charts, and it was hard not to know who she was if you were a k-pop fan, especially with the scandalous video that everyone knew about. Me and my sister were like "I told you so" to my cousin! I thought she was pretty and talented, but I didn't become a fan until I saw her in Love Letter and X-man... I loved her cute and charming personality. I also saw the Manwonae Hengbok with CY vs. Hwanhee. I ended up buying her 2nd album in 'Morning Glory' and I loved it! So then I really became her fan and I've been her fan ever since!

first... like around end of 2004, i somehow just randomly downloaded some songs from a forum and got Chae Yeon's "Two of Us" song and i really like it...it has a nice beat and vibe to it..

at that time, i didn't know who she is ... i even saw some ppl post pics of Chae Yeon in soompi but it's all sexy pics of her and so i just scan through her...thinking she's sort of too revealing... i didn't even know she was the one that sang the song that i like

i didn't really hv any intentions of searching her up or anything .. but then by coincidence i downloaded some clips from soompi of artists' performance in InkiGayo.. and it had her in it and it is then i know who she is, and that she's the girl who sang that song



my first impression was: i thought she's around 22 yrs old and her dancing is pretty good but a bit stiff compared to Hyori.. i thought she sang pretty good .. sounded like the original song .. however, because i thought that she was so young.. i thought maybe she's those singers that can sing at average level.. like HongKong young singers who can't really sing that well

then i downloaded SBS X-Man #50 Ep. 111 (2005.12.18) cuz at that time i started to like DBSK and this x-man episode had Yunho in it .... i noticed Chae Yeon .. and i thought the "Of COurse Game" with Chae Yeon and Kim Jong Kook was very touching ~



plus i thought she had a great smile and looked cute especially in the pink dress

then i started to download more of her X-man episodes and her performances

like everyone else .. at first i thought i like Chae Yeon but Not technically a fan of hers .. (just like how i like Hyori but not a fan of Hyori's)... and at first i thought i like Hyori more than Chae Yeon but later i noticed that i start to search for CY's stuff and search her under google and looking for sites of hers....while i never really search Hyori's stuff before ..=

sorry for my long essay .. so that's how i became CY's fan,.. now i thought she has a great voice but Not much ppl notice that she can really sing... she has a great personality and smile ~~
