Im thinking of getting a microdermabrasion home kit but I just wanted opinions from people if it works well or not? I have these red marks left over from pimples and stuff which look horrible >< So I was hoping if this would help as I read up on it and it can be used for acne scars. Any advice would be appreciated laugh.gif

i think that you should go to a dermatologist to consult about your red marks and get professional advice.

because at microdermabrasion is very harsh on the skin, and if used to much, it can promote faster aging. And with an at home kit, something can go wrong...

Microdermabrasion is more for people whose WHOLE FACE has a problem. but you only have marks that trouble you. so get a spot scar treament gel... thing from a dermatologist.

Don't buy the kit..it's so lame. It only comes with a machine which basically turns in circle..you can do this manually with a cotton cloth and some exfolating creme. Microdemasion doesn't get rid of zits..it just prevent it. It carries dead skin cell away, so new skin cells would replenish. totally not worth it.

hmm yeah i'll try and see a dermatologist although i think they're hard to get where i am cos they dont have much so they only see people who have it really bad sad.gif. i also have black and whiteheads and i heard that microdermabrasion helps get rid of those too? the marks are around my cheeks and forehead mainly >< i've started trying whitening products to try and fade them out so hopefully that works..but thanks for the advice ^^

i used the neutrogena microdermabrasion kit when i had some ugly acne scars. it worked out great. i followed the directions down to the T as stated on the box including using the machine instead of my hands and my scars definitely faded by 50% after about 2-3weeks. but be prepared to look ugly for several days during the process b/c 3-4 days into it, my whole face was red and sensitive from having the skin scrubbed. however after the redness faded, i could tell that my skin was much smoother looking than before.

This is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone been using a good one?

I use to use clean+easy Dermal Crystal Cream but they discontinued their product. Need some suggestions.
