I know that the SAT and the ACT are both acceptable tests but do colleges have a secret preference?

I would rather take the ACT but I feel like colleges like seeing the SAT scores better.
I'm looking to apply to a school around the UC level.

A lot of schools require one or the other. What I was told was that east coast schools prefer SAT and west coast prefer ACT, or maybe that was the other way around. The college's I applyed to all required ACT scores, which is good cuz I rocked the ACTs, you should find out which your colleges will require, or just take them both.
