So I was wondering if anyone has a recipe for good hot chocolate like the ones at coffee shops and cafes?

My mum always wanted to open a cafe/coffee shop, so she wants me to study how to make coffee and stuff. But before I start making coffee, I need to practice on making hot chocolate. But whenever I try, it's either sweet enough but not thivk enough or thick enough but not sweet enough.

heres a basic one off of joyofbaking.com, a site that I loveee
Hot Cocoa Recipe:
3/4 cup (180 ml) milk (skim, 2%, or whole)
1 tablespoon Dutch-processed cocoa powder (I use Droste of Valrhona)
1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
2 tablespoons of cream or milk
For Garnish:
Marshmallows or softly whipped cream
Place the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it is nice and hot.
Meanwhile in your mug or cup, make a paste with the cocoa powder, sugar, and cream. Pour the hot milk into the cocoa paste and stir until combined and smooth. You can place the hot cocoa in your blender (or use an immersion blender) to make it nice and foamy.
Garnish with marshmallows or softly whipped cream
Also, when I feel like it, I add in like a half teaspoon of cinnamon, vanilla bean, vanilla extract, or even almond extract...or put in a whole stick of cinnamon (it makes a cute stirrer too!)
