Summary for September week 4 chart:

No. 1 song Big Bang's "거짓말" (Lie) remains at No. 1 for the 3rd straight week. It is being seriously challenged by Lee Seung Ki's "착한거짓말" (White Lie), which has gained a lot of ground this week and is only 11 points behind Big Bang. It will be an interesting battle next week for the top spot.

Biggest Mover of the week: Hong Kyung Min's "못난이" (Fool) is our biggest mover this week, up 21 spots to No. 10. Hong Kyung Min is a regular in the top 10 and this ballad comes from his 8th album, which celebrates his 10th anniversary in the business. This song gives songwriter Cho Young Soo another top 10 song.

Hot shot debut: Fly To The Sky's follow up hit "사랑해" (I Love You) is our highest debut this week at No. 19. This song replaces their former No. 1 song "My Angel". Fly To The Sky usually produces multiple top 10 hits from their albums, so we can expect this song to hit the top 10 soon.

6. Jang Hye Jin - 가라 사랑아 (Go Away Love) - Moves up to No. 6 this week and becomes Jang Hye Jin's highest charted solo songs in years. It proves that her new try of up-tempo songs is widely accepted by fans.

20. The Name and Choi Jini - 이별�후에 (After�Break Up) - The album of this music drama is finally released (see our new albums introduction this week), and it pushes this duet into the top 20. This song's predcessor, Shin Hye Sung and Lyn's "After...Love", was a top 10 hit, so let see if this song can do the same. Choi Jini has two top 20 songs this week as Rumble Fish's "그대내게다시" (That Day, I Again) re-enters the top 20.

22. Wheesung - 사랑은 맛있다 ♡ (Love is Delicious) - This is the first album released by Wheesung after leaving YG Family. Unlike his previous R&B songs, this song is a more light-hearted mid tempo pop song that should be a first for Wheesung. Like all his previous albums, it has already topped the sales charts. Expect this song to make a big jump next week. Park Geun Tae, who has written No. 1 songs for Ivy and Yangpa this year, penned this song while Wheesung himself wrote the lyrics.

26. 8Eight - 사랑을잃고난노래하네 (Forget Love and Sing) - 8Eight is not related to Se7en. Instead, they are a highly regarded new co-ed R&B group, being labelled as the Black Eyed Peas of Korea. They are often compared to Ty Keys, another R&B co-ed group with similar styles. 8Eight is the winner of a show survival contest in Korea last year (similar to American Idol). We haven't seen such a pure R&B song for a long time. With distinictive vocals and rappings, they should be able to find success.

27. Baek Ji Young - 사랑하나면 돼 (Loving one person is enough) - It is always tough to follow up after having a big hit. Last year, Baek Ji Young's "사랑안해" (I Won't Love) surprisingly became one of the biggest hits in 2006, helping her to sweep almost all female artistes awards at year end. "Loving one person is enough" is definitely as good as "I Won't Love". It is an even more emotional ballad that requires a lot of singing skills in the chrous part. Now the only thing for Baek Ji Young is to repeat the same success as last year, which I think is very likely with such a good song.

30. Wonder Girls - Tell Me - The title song from their offical 1st full album. It hasn't been easy for these girls. Over the summer, 2 members checked into the hospitals for poor health reasons. Hyun Ah decided to leave the group and was replaced by Yoo Bin. Their comeback was also derailed after a car accident. Members were not hurt but they have temporarily suspended activities. Hopefully, it will not affect the popularity of this song, which is a retro dance hit resembling up-tempo songs from the 80s.

41. Lee Ssang - 영화처럼 (Like a movie) - After 15 weeks, Ballerino is finally off the chart and is replaced by this song, which I think is an even better song. It is a slower tempo song. Ali is again featured in the song.

BIOGRAPHY:

Our featured artiste this week is Shin Hye Sung. He moved to the U.S. when he was in his third year of junior high school in Korea and spent his high school years there. In junior high school, he liked playing sports such as soccer but he especially enjoyed basketball. Although he has enjoyed singing since he was a child, he never dreamt of becoming a singer. But, when he was in the U.S., he entered a singing contest at a Korean festival in L.A. and he really enjoyed it.

Now it's been nine years since Shin Hye Sung first created waves with his groundbreaking debut as a member of Shinhwa. Since then, going from the main vocalist of Shinhwa, to a member of the trio singing group called S (with good friends Kangta and Lee Ji Hoon), Shin Hye-sung's career has been marked with both brilliance and success. But his passion for music doesn't just stop there. He released his solo album in 2005 and took on a different kind of music by becoming a ballad singer.

Hye Sung's first solo album titled "The Love of May" was very successful. It produced a No. 1 song "Same Thought", and another 2 top 20 hits "Don't Leave", and "Mirror". Also, his duet with veteran female singer Susie Kang, "Buen Camino", also received good reviews. These songs were all ballads which were very different from Shinhwa's music, but were able to better showcase Hye Sung's vocal.

Despite his many experiences with being onstage and in front of the camera, Hye Sung still gets nervous and tense as if it is his first time. He wrote five of the 14 songs on the 1st album. These songs are about love and heartbreak. He has had his fair share of loving someone and breaking up with them. He thinks those experiences are the source of his inspiration. Also, he has a habit of writing down good lyrics on his cell phone and saving them whenever he thinks of something.

In 2006, Hye Sung re-united with his Shinhwa members and released Shinhwa's 8th album, which featured the No. 1 song "Once In A Lifetime", one of the songs dedicated to Korea's 2006 World Cup soccer team.

In 2007, Hye Sung re-started his solo works. First, he released a duet "After...Love" with Lyn from a music drama of the same name. The song became a top 10 hit. Then he participated in songwriter Cho Young Soo's project album "All Stars" with many other famous artistes. Finally in August 2007, Hye Sung released his 2nd solo album. Again, he worked with Cho Young Soo and the first single titled "첫사람" (First Person) which is a gentle ballad, went to No. 2 in our music chart. His album also spent 2 weeks on top of the sales chart. Overall, Hye Sung has outdone Shinhwa teammates Kim Dong Wan and Lee Min Woo this time, as all three has released their solo albums in the same period.

Over the years, Hye Sung has undergone a lot of transformations in his music: from Shinhwa's pop dance hits in the early days, to his wonderful solo ballads now. Hye Sung has grown up a lot in front of all the fans. He's not afraid to try out new things, and fans will continue to travel along with him in his musical journey.

Cho Shin Sung, a six member male group who were the heat of the topic in the music department even before their debut, have finally started their activities with three new songs. These three songs are Hit, Where are You, and Romance. Their title track, Hit, was composed by Jo Young Soo, who is known for writing SG Wannabe�s Gwang, My Person, Arirang, Seeya�s Crazy Love Song, and Shin Hye Sung�s First Love. - Rich is back as a singer and songwriter after a long hiatus of three years!

Talented R&B artiste "Rich" is finally back with his 4th album! Excluding two tracks, Rich has written and composed all the tracks in this album as well as recording and mixing. We will be able to see a more mature side of him and hear his wonderful vocal skills, which have become stronger. The title song is "EJ's Number", which starts off with a strong drum sound followed by a guitar, base and keyboard. Unlike his other songs in the past, this title song showcases a band sound which includes a chorus sung by a woman. Some of the upbeat tracks to look out for are "Pygmalion Effect", "Pizza That Can't Be Thrown" and "Auto Boy". Music Drama - After...Break Up OST (September 24)

After the huge success of the music drama Winter Story starring Shinhwa's Eric Mun, here comes the sequel. After Break Up is an album with a unique concept that brings music and video together into a short music drama. The title song, "After Break Up", showcases a mid-tempo ballad combining the soulful sultry sound of The Name and the controlled powerful vocals of Choi Jin Yi, the lead singer of Rumble Fish. Critics and peers alike have raved about the remarkable harmony that was cooked up by this duo. As an added bonus, Music Drama - After Break Up includes a modified version of the title song with string instrumentation.

The second track, First Love, is a duet by Shim Eun Jin and songwriter/producer Vink, who is well known in the industry for songs like M.C. The Max's Returns and Shin Hye Sung's Island. First Love is written, produced, and arranged by Vink. Other tracks include recent hits "Love Throws Away Love" (Track 3) from M.C. The Max, "I Cry" (Track 4) from Son Ho Young, and "Three People" (Track 6) from Lee Ki Chan.

After Break Up features a music drama directed by Cho Soo Hyun, whose credits include music videos for Rain, SE7EN, Big Bang, Shinhwa, Clazziquai, and Park Hyo Shin. The drama centers around the jealous love triangle between a woman and two men, played by Lee Min Ki (A Day for An Affair) and former Sechskies and J-Walk member Jang Su Won.
