I just got a new laptop and i downloaded bitcomet to download torrents but when i try to download torrents, it goes to the point of asking to open with bitcomet but then it doesnt even appear onthe bitcomet torrents list... is this because of Vista? my old computer had XP and it worked fine..

Try μTorrent, it's a more friendly bittorrrent client. It is designed to use minimal computer resources.

Try saving the .torrent file. Then right click it - Open with.. - Bitcomet - And make sure the box is checked.

Not sure if those are 100% accurate directions, I had Vista before, but I reformatted and installed XP.
