I've always had Picaview on my pc because it is really helpful for locating files and organizing various documents and files.

I just noticed today that i cannot preview my MP3 files anymore. There's an error message saying:
The media file could not be played. The necessary driver or codec may be missing.

I tried searching solutions online and i found this chinese forum board:

although i cannot understand the full converstation, it seems like the forumer seems to have the same problem. based on my understanding he/she was advised to install k-lite codec. I have k-lite. I uninstall it and re-installed the latest version. Still i cannot preview my mp3s. I tried other media. i can preview my videos. For music, i can preview wav. but not wmas. It's important for me to preview mp3s because most of my music files are in mp3.

I hope you guys know the solution to this. Because i only have one solution in mind --> Reformat! And i hate to do that again!
