God is in three forms: The Heavenly father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

They are together in one.

basically god christ jesus is referring to god himself. They are the same one.

The New Testament was originally written in Greek, and is written after the old testament. it consists of the accounts of Jesus's apostles, differently Mark, Matthew, Luke, John, etc. and then the stories of them expanding jesus's ministry after his resurrection(Acts) and letters from the apostles to the different ministries in different countries (eg. Romans, Galations)and what would happen in the future (Revealation)

For the lamb of God that part....
I took bible studies so i could say some bit.

My teacher told me something that Jesus is the lamb of God......

In the past, the Jews would sacrifice the lamb as their offering to God as a form of atoning their sins to God. It was like God turning one eye off to their sins (bad things they committed) and making it easy for them by asking them to sacrifice a lamb. Jesus was considered the lamb of God as he washes our sins of just like the lamb by dying for us on the cross(the crucification). However, the difference was that the lamb was blind and did not know what it died for. Jesus, He, who is of no sins died for us and spared us from the eternal punishment (which is the sin). That was the only way God could forgive us.

If you read the Old testament, it was about how God created the heavens and earth in 6 days and rested for 1 day and creation of Adam and Eve. Too, it consisted of how God brought the Isaraelites out of Eygpt thru Moses. The Jews believe in the old testament. However, christians believed in the both the testaments. Christians believe that the God in the old testament is the same as the God in the new testament. The difference between Jewish beliefs and Christan beliefs is that Jewish beliefs are more of Jesus is not their God.

The Pharisees are the Jewish religious leaders. They do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God and they find many ways to test Jesus himself. Often these pharisees are people who go thru the extremes to prove that they are 'religious' or 'holy'

im so tired.

mayb ask me q and i reply u tomoro???

i may not be 100% accurate. vbut tats wad i noe as a christian o.0

So... Jesus, Christ, and God are all the same thing?
Then why do they say "Jesus is the lamb of God"? He is the lamb of himself? huh.gif

I don't quite understand the meaning of "Lamb of God". What I've gathered from what you said, "Lamb of God" refers to the slaughter of a lamb, used as a sacrifice to wash away sins? Is this for JEWISH beliefs, CHRISTIAN beliefs, or both? Is this in the bible? You've also mentioned that the lamb is blind- are all lambs (used for sacrifice) blind? huh.gif

Is there a special ritual in which they perform the slaughter of the lamb? Such as, say, tieing it to a cross or at a specific time of day? I also read from another source that they slaughter the lamb for its blood and use it for something else (if you know, please tell). Then they eat the lamb. Is that true?

So Pharisees are not liked by Jesus? Since they try to disprove his existance...

sry i >< confused uuu~

(nah. Jesus is not the lamb of himself.

Jesus = Christ, he is also recognised as God.

However, the God in this lamb of God is referring to the heavenly father, which is Jesus's father that is)

(Yes, the slaughter of the lamb is a Jewish tradition whereby they use lambs as a sacrifise to wash away sins.

The slaughter of lamb applies to JEWISH beliefs.

As u see, Pharisees is hard as rock and dun belief in jesus, jesus himself and his apostles tend to use the old testament traditions, wad the prophets in old testament said (eg. Moses).

The lamb is blind- it refers that it does not know what is it being slaughtered for ^^)

erm. for tis i dunno ^^ ahhah~

no, I would say.
i remember there was once whereby jesus and his apostles ate at the house at the tax collectors house( tax collectors tat time were regarded as sinners and they were lowly regard as they extort more money than they were supposed to collect) then the Pharisees asked one of the apostles why did Jesus ate at taxcollectors' house and Jesus replied that it was the sick who need a doc, but not the healthy. If I were Jesus I would ask them to shut up ahhaha~
too there was the last supper where Jesus knew that Judas (one of his apostles) would betray him by taking money from the Pharisees (hu would wanted Jesus to die). However, Jesus knew he was gonna be betrayed by Judas and knew Pharisees would crucify him(with the help of Roman soldiers), and did not take any action (like exposing them or stuff). Cos it was part of the plan for him to die for mankind

Thank you for explaining smile.gif.
Again, I have many questions sad.gif.

So the Pharisees were the ones who crucified Jesus? Why would they! sad.gif.
If they crucified him then I think it's safe to say that they are evil.

Also, for the Last Supper:
How did Jesus KNOW Judas was gonna betray him? He predicted it?

What are apostles? sad.gif
Briefly looking them up, it says there are 12 of them?

hahha it's fine since you're not a christian ^^

The Pharisees plot with the Romans in order to crucify Jesus.
The Romans ploted with the Pharisees as Jesus harms something to their worship of Gods(sometimes the Roman King as the object of worship) as people believed in Jesus.
Actually, Jesus even said (in the Bible(new testament) Luke 23:24)"Oh Father (meaning father in heaven), forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

well, how did he know?
the ans is that he IS GOD. He knows everything before someone even execute something. that's why he know (((:

The 12 apostles are sorta the choosen disciples of Jesus, learning from him and to a mission(heal the sick, drive out demons and share the gospel to the people).

Sometimes Judas is not considered(as he betrayed Jesus) , so they consider as the 11 apostles

this is called passover, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passover ; the general idea was that the angel will "pass over" the houses and take (kill) the first born sons; so for families to protect their sons, they had to sacrafice the lamb and paint a cross (or X) with the blood of the lamb on the door, and if the angel see the cross, they'll pass over the house

as for ways to sacrifice the lamb.. i have no idea

1. 'Lamb of God' is Christ. Before Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, people would go to the temple and offer sacrifices such as lambs and other animals to ask for forgiveness from God. After Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross for our sins, we no longer need to give real sacrifices. He's the ultimate sacrifice. It also does have to do with Passover which began with Moses and the killing of the firstborn son of Egypt. God had comanded the Hebrews to put lamb blood on their door and then the Spirit (i think) will pass by their house so their son will not be killed.

The Trinity is made up of the Father (God), Jesus (the Son), and the Holy Spirit. It's hard to explain, they are the same but they are different. They each have different roles in what they do for us.

2. Pharisees are the Jewish religious leaders in the temple. They ploted to crucify Jesus becuase they didn't believe that Jesus was the Son of God. No Jewish believes that Jesus is the Son of God because they are expecting someone literally like a King and coming to save them. Knight in shining armor stuff I guess. At that time, they were also kind of corrupted so they wanted their word to be rule. Pharisees considered themselves to be righteous and loved by God while others were sinners.

3. From what I read, immaculate conception is actually a Roman Catholic concept relating to Jesus' mother Mary. The Catholics respect Mary like a saint, I think. They pray to her so she can pray for them to God or something. They believe her to be free of sin from birth and is a virgin. I don't really understand this, since I'm Christian not Catholic. But you can look it up on wikipedia or something.

yeahh, bell's ringing.. hope this helped ^^;;

sort of irrelevant to this topic but
the bible is the ONE piece of literature you MUST have read if you plan to do well in any levels of english
(or go for the extra mile)
b/c there are constant references to the bible
so my english teachers in high school recommended us that we start reading the bible (for academic purposes)
even if we werent christian b/c in literature, there are too many references to the bible that
if you dont know the reference, you might misinterpret something.
anyhows.
yep.

All posts were helpful and I think I understand it more now. smile.gif
