helllooo
as part of the student council this year.. we're all supposed to come up with ideas for school assemblies
i was just looking for some input from others outside of my school

anyone care to share what theyve done at school assemblies?

if you dont understand what they are..
its things like.. class contests, scavenger hunts, talent shows...etc that the whole high school comes together to do. for like an hour or two

any suggestions? or personal experiences that you have enjoyed?

To be very honest with you, no one care about what you do at the assembly. The fact that you've gotten us out of class for an hour is great enough and it's all we care about.

^ True, but there are some people who do enjoy the assemblies.

Try to get some teachers involve. I know that if some students enjoy watching if a teacher that everyone likes gets involved, makes things funnier.
I remember that in middle school we did something similiar to 'Fear Factor' with some obstacles with some food eating (not sure what it was).
Also grade level competition involves alot of students (ie. Freshmen vs. Sophmore)

My old school used to do this hilarious thing during the holiday season.

We'd divide the auditorium into 12 sections and assign each section a part of the "12 days of Christmas day" song.
Like section A would get the first day and section B would get the second day, etc.
Day 5 of the song (Fiiive golden rings!) would be assigned to all the teachers in the auditorium, who would be standing on stage, with the chorus teacher playing the song on the piano.
So we'd go around the auditorium, singing the whole song.

It'd be kind of hectic but fun at the same time.
It's a silly school tradition.

you can't go wrong with a projector and disney SING ALONGS
my school's ASB did that and it was a hit.
