My floor mates banned me from eating kimchi, squid, and taen jang when I was in college. I think everything else should be good to go.

those all smell. pretty strong too
korean food has a lot of garlic so thats why so many dishs have a strong smell. you really dont have much options. miso is one option or you can try and make kalbi/bulgogi cos eventho they have a smell i find that americans are more accepting of that smell b/c they are so used to BBQ themselves.

I bought some Nong Shim cup noodles. I just eat it when my roomies aren't around...but it doesn't smell that bad.
And I brought home some leftover pork stir fry from the korean restaurant as well as bulgogi. Personally, I thought it smelled GOOD.
Haha...
Just make sure when you throw away dishes, etc, don't throw it away in the room. Go to like...a garbage bin in the hall or something.
And wash your dishes too...after you eat. So it's not like, uber smell all over the room.

brown rice
stir-fry with minimal seasoning or soy, other spices and sauces
vegetable dishes that are to be taken with the rice
fruit salads with mayonnaise?
korean breads? they are sooo good, and they actually came out with ones without additives/preservatives, made fresh daily

the smell will kill the guy and then you'll be free to eat whatever you want
just kidding.
as people said, you can eat fried rice (that doesn't smell too bad), kim bap, oh moo rice (that smells good), and..yeah, anything related to rice should dense the smell.
