Is it possible for a regular HS student in korea to take the SATs?

My cousin is a senior this year in korea and he wants to try to take the SATs in order to come to the USA for college.. specifically Cooper union. Of course he doesn't have the advantage of an international-school student but he still wants to try...

ANY information would be appreciated smile.gif

thanks ya'll.

I'm pretty sure that you can take the SATs in Korea since I have friends that live in Korea, but they always take the SATs.

I don't think that it's such a good idea for a regular HS student to take the SATs since it's different compared to the tests that Korean colleges offer & your cousin would probably have to take the TOEFL test too.

Yeah I think so ...

But I'd recommend he take the TOEFL too ... Since if he fails with the SAT, he can use the TOEFL as a back up ...

I'm an international student, albeit since the age of 5 sleep.gif, and I'm taking SATs sometime this year.

yes i go to an international school in korea and a lot of kids from regular korean high schools take the SATs

is your cousin a senior?
cus hes gonna have a TOUGH time finding a place to take the SATs this oct, nov, dec, and january...
the testing places are ALL filled up and i know kids who have to go to japan...

but yeah if u go on collegeboard.. tell your cousin that he can sign up tests in korea... and collegeboardusually assigns you to a testing site in korea..
but.. yeah good luck.. its gonna be REALLY hard to take them this upcoming testing dates.
