i like the black on black theme and would do the same if i had an IS 250. good job. that sub setup though is not my thing.

my 2 cents on the 2JZ swap:

are you doing a brand new swap or are you doing a used 2JZGTE swap? i think honestly that it's a step backward. no doubt the 2JZ is a proven motor but we're talking about a century difference in technology. i'm sure the IS 250 motor isn't that bad that you need to toss it so quickly. i'm assuming "illmatic" is a car show group. i'm also assuming that because this is probably geared towards being a show car that your swap is gonna be new. just a heads up but for auto supras to buy a brand new 6speed getrag it costs 10 grand (this is just parts alone, no labor). i'm assuming that for you to go getrag would be at least that amount and most likely above that. besides tranny there's the actual motor. throw in a new longblock and the price goes up. and since car show guys don't typically wrench themselves (no offense), i'm assuming you're going to hire someone to assemble it all together and drop it in. the number will really go up when you account for labor. don't forget all the custom fabrication you're gonna have to do since this motor doesn't just bolt up. in short you're looking at a total bill that's gonna be way unnecessarily high just to say that you have a 2JZ in there.

if you are aiming for 800+ hp then the 2JZ won't be a bad investment. but if you're aiming for something in the 500-600 neighborhood i would honestly just build your stock motor and boost it. it will save you TONS of cash.

i came from Honda-Tech, so i hate sound systems...I didnt even want the one in my car
but snce Ill TK is such a good friend and he kept beg'n me to get one....i got one done just for him.

i'm still keeping the engine till my warrenty expires (at 50k) but ya, for boost LMS is the only company that offers a charger for this car...installed your looking at 6g's (pushing only around 300-400hp)....I can most likey get the 2JZGTE (used) swapped for around that much. just gotta to a couple shops i know.

uh, the new is's dont impress me, the 350 is ok in my book. but the cabin space is a joke. the rear is so small it pisses me off whenever i ride my friends.

there's nothing wrong with automatic though. mike drives alot of miles everyday and goes throguh traffic everyday. if i drove where he drove, i would get auotmatic too

I drive an automatic myself & have seen first hand how tiring it is to drive through traffic every day with a manual.. My best friend used to go from Ktown to where we live every day and he drives one of the harder to drive manual cars, he was always in a bad mood cause of it =(

we're currently living in the times that MT cars being phased out. euro exotics are becoming hi-tech autos and it's trickling its way down to common consumer cars. it's the new industry standard (no pun intended).

honestly i think the new is isnt what it used to be. its not a sports car anymore. look at the other thread with the 1st gen is and thats a real sports car.
