the only time i've ever gotten a 'N' was midcycle report for chemistry <- doesn't really count, more like a progress report..
I know I've come closed to failing though.. but still !!!

they say colleges like it if you challenge yourself but if you really can't do it then you shouldn't! my teacher said they prefer a kid with straight e's with average/^ classes than straight s'/barely passing in APssssss. and for math, get tutor?

You do want to get anything less than a "C" in AP. Even then, "C's" are looked down upon.
If you're finding that AP Chem is too difficult, swallow your pride and drop down to Honors. Junior year only gets tougher and stress mounts with each passing month. You don't want this class messing up your GPA and a chance at your top colleges (if you have them already).
