My parents both have like straight hair. for some reason my hair started to become curly like in seventh grade. and i hate it sometimes. because after i wash it is becomes a pooof ball. but it has its advantages because i dont comb my hair when i tie it up because my hair is curly and it gives a nice effect/style. ioono. but sometimes i look at my friends' hair. i wished i had it. so how do you guys feel ...whoever has curly hair. straightening it is a pinkberry.

i do , but people say they like my " got out of the shower & didn't comb " hair better than straight hair.

i used to really hate it but i dont really mind it that much anymore

i hate it when you straighten your hair & it's humid outside.. by the end of the day its half straight and half wavy

i used to have straight hair until like grade 6 or 7 too.
now i have like super wavy hair

and its worse now that i have short hair --- THE WAVES SHOW UP MORE.

so yep.
the best hairstyle for wavy hair is --- long hair .

but i have to wait for it to grow out again. which will take years.

i'm in the same situation. i used to have straight hair until about 6th-7th grade. maybe it's because your body is going through a lot of changes around that time.

i straighten my hair, but sometimes i leave it wavy and i get a lot of compliments on it. the only thing i don't like about wavy hair is how unpredictable it is. sometimes it looks really nice and sometimes it looks crazy.

yea my hair was dead straight until about grade 7-8 .. dayem sometimes people reckon i perm or curl my hair on a daily basis

well obviously there will be days where our hair is beautifully curled with perfect ringlets and days where our hair looks ten times worse then a poodle's hairdo

and i found that if you sleep with your hair against your back .. then your body heat throughout the night will actually 'tame' your hair and make it more smooth .. BUT i dnt recommend this to people who toss and turn when they sleep cos then it will be useless

My hair is pretty straight.
But when it comes to the hair on my side,
it somewhat curls, its like not curly but not straight.

Wow, so similar to your situation. I used to have flat, straight hair like my mom, but once I hit 7th-8th grade, it started to get really poofy. Not necessarily wavy...Actually, yeah. In the inside, it got wavy. The outside part stayed straight. =P So my hair look straight but super poofy. I actually recently got a magic straight, Lol.

Same. I used to have straight black silky hair when I was small. It started to curl and become drier a few years ago. Like a broccoli. T_T Now that I've straightened my hair, I could try different hairstyle.

Uhm. Just stop tying up your hair, sleep with your hair down, COMB your hair and brush your hair while straightening. It works. Or you can always use a hair straightener or get it straightened at a salon or something.

Same thing happened to me. Beginning of last year I had straight hair and now it's like ... so wavy. So now I have to straighten it everyday and I don't want to get it rebonded just in case I start missing my wavy hair O __ O ;;

maybe your hair has a "Wave" in it (where the hair like waves XD) my sister didn't realize she did until she started to actually get proper haircuts aroudn that age.

try blowdrying it to make it straighter~

I have wavy hair and I love it! Even if I blow dry it, the ends end up being wavy and it looks so good with my layers. I love the volume and texture quality it has. I get compliments from guys and girl on how nice my hair is very often. I think with the right haircut, you can really learn to work your hair. I suggest layers.

I used to have straight hair when I was little up until middle school! I wouldn't care about having wavy hair if only I knew how to manage it ... right now I just straighten it. (FREAKING ANNOYING)

p.s. Don't you hate it when you go to a korean salon and they ALWAYS tell you, "omuhnaah, I think you should do magicstraight ect etc."
