I want to buy a dvd burner that can burn disc which plays on dvd players. Can anyone recommend me which burner should I buy? And where can I get it? Thanks a bunch!

Does your computer, mainly your motherboard, use SATA?

DVD burners are a bit hard to recommend unless the person has experience with one, and also the customer reviews aren't much helpful since some of them don't know about the firmware updates and etc. Right now I have the LG GSA-H44LK, it uses the fat IDE cables, and I'm satisfied with it. It burned all of my DVD RWs and Rs really well(remember that blank DVDs need to be good also or you might start blaming your driver for something that's because of the disc).

I would recommend you to go to CD Freaks and read through some of the reviews and forums. The best seems to be a BenQ one over there, but it's rare to find one right now.
