She was born on March 10, 1983 as Cheryline Lim in Sabah, Malaysia to a Chinese Malaysian father and Indian-Dutch mother.Che'Nelle was raised in Perth, Western Australia.She also shares the same management team as Kanye West, performing as the opening act on his Australian tour in March 2006.Che'nelle collaborated with UK based music producer Manon Dave (aka Schizo) on a track for her forthcoming album. The two had also been collaborating on a number of projects prior to Che'nelle's deal with Virgin Records.
Her debut album "Things Happen For A Reason" is due out on September 25.The first single off of her debut album was "I Fell In Love With a DJ".

thanks for starting a topic on her. she's pretty fly. also she performed @ R-Festa 2007 as a special guest. for those who don't know R-Festa is a mega concert of who's who in Japanese rap and R&B. others in attendance included Miliyah Kato, Zeebra, AI and more, so just right there she (Che'nelle) was in good company..i heard she lit the stage up

Oo ~ I know this girl. I read about her in a magazine and found out that she sang a song for that movie . . . Take the Lead? So I went and downloaded some of her songs last year. I thought she was a pretty good singer but I forgot all about her after my computer got reformatted and I lost all of my songs --,
It's awesome that she's from Perth though XD (Cha - ha. That's where I live)
