Heya, I am just wondering what you guys think of the zunes. Battery life, design, price, file supports, etc.

btw there is an 80 gig zune coming out in nov. 13 and i find it better than the classic pod out now.

i have one...the battery life is pretty decent...nothing to shout about tho.. when i went on vacation i forgot my usb charger and it lasted a week (i just had to turn the backlight to low and not put the volume up as high as i normally do..which actually wasn't bad because..well it's not good to listen to music really loud anyway)

the only thing i don't like is there's no language support for asian fonts..and you have to go thru and romanize your whole library..which SUCKS.

oh and another thing that annoys me to no end..the Zune will update the catalog and fill in any missing info on your tracks, but sometimes it will grab whatever it can find..like for Koda Kumi's Best Album..it auto filled in all these random people and renamed the artist as Blodwyn Pig and put that person's album cover as the display pic...and i have to KEEP going in and putting the correct info/pics..i hate it with a passion.

hopefully it the new one has asian font support, doesn't try to force song titles/info on your songs, and comes with better headphones (they were too big..my ears are little and the default ones didn't even go in )

with that said the new one looks nice atleast...

I'll post pics if wanted.

As for the new Zune, yes, I'm quite excited. Especially because I loved the G1 so much for its clean headphone out signals (Bought it the day it came out last year).
GUI is a little too flash, but still looks as intuitive as before. I'll be definitely checking it out when it comes out.

As for the Asian font, I've read about hacks for it, like the previous member post above me. Still, it's stupid how people have to hack it in order for them to have it. Unicode should be a standard. Which is one reason why I'm not getting a Zune(don't have one) and Sandisk(have one) players anymore. But I don't know if the new ones have it or not.

i know someone who has ithe halo edition and he says the battery dies really fast. and someone else who has the black one says someone sent him porno on his zune and he couldn't delete it.

i agree. it's dumb that we've got to hack it just to read what we're listening to..you'd think Microsoft would have thought about that.

i own a Zune, and it kicks ass for me, I'm looking forward to the new one. I've never really be a fan of Ipods. roar!

and yea the whole no asian font support really bugs the crap outta me. other than that I love tha Zune =]

Hmm, I might have to get one! I've been looking for a new mp3 player and I had 3rd Gen iPod from back in the day and it was perfect but... the battery was basically dead (30 min charge). I notice these new iPods have all this extra visual crap that makes it lag so thats a no go for me.

This zune looks alot slimmer too which is nice for portability.

i'm pretty sure that you can send songs and stuff to other zunes, but they can only play it like 5 or so times and they can't keep it.

anyways. i never liked i pods. i'd probably get a zune if they were cheaper.

this was around the time he first got his zune and wasn't so familiar with it. also i KNOW you can just connect it to your PC and delete. i'm saying he wasn't able to delete it right there on the spot. so he had to walk around all day with porn on his zune.

i love the zune!!^^ i don't own it haha, but my sister does and i used to use it on trips. Battery life-span isn't so bad, if you just don't put your volume up so high and turn off the wireless feature for the time being ~ I guess one of its flaws is the asian character encoding. How do you even..... hack it?? no experience in that.. ahahah
Anyway, one of its best features is the personalization of your background screen... awesome. I used to change my sister's bg everytime i use it.. it's j/ awesome~ and for some reason, the picture quality looks so good when it's displayed as the screen bg. haha. I LIKE!^^
wow, 80G? That's awesome.. But i will never need that much. Haha. I hardly use my 1G mp3 player i have now... though i love it too.
But yeah, the new zune looks pretty good~ almost the same actually. I guess it's just... glossy?? hehe.*
