I'm pretty happy with my weight right now. I'm not super skinny, and I'm definitely not fat. But I really hate my legs. I think they're too...big?
So what I wanna ask is, how do you tone your legs without gaining all those muscles? What kind of exercise works?

hahaha...i guess you and i have the same problem..^^ half of my body and up is good, but once you go down and below it's something you don't ever wanna see...>.< i HATE the size of my legs...so i've been researching and i learned that doing wall sits and lunges really helps your legs..^^ there's more, but i don't know what it's called and how to do it...all i know that those two are not all of it..^^ For sure those two exersizes works because every time before i go to sleep, i do a 15 minute stretch along with those two stretches and my legs actually lost some fat for the past month...^^ (i measured it...before and after..^^)so i'm guessing this would work for you also..>^^

SQUATS help tone your butt, calves and thighs. All in one, and I hate squats with a passion, but I still do them smile.gif.
Lunges also help.

There's also yoga-ish leg exercises where you'd simply lay on the ground and lift your legs around for strength.
I don't have the technical name for it all, but yeah, I think you know what I mean smile.gif.

if you dont want to build too much muscle, switch between different types of exercises so that your leg exercises aren't always so intense.
for me, if i do the rowing machine one day, i'll do pilates the next.

Lunges and squats help so much. Use stairs, run them, or just use them to stretch. I'm sure running helps but not sure if you can over do it, it that makes sense. I've heard dance helps a lot too.

if you want to tone it, u gotta get rid of the fat and build up a bit of muscle. but keep in mind that it's hard for females to actually have large muscle mass as compared to males, so i wouldnt worry too much about being too muscular. stay on cardio but mix in some weight training like wall sits, lunges but keep the weights light (light to the point where its enough for you to do a set of 10 to 12 each time for an exercise without it being difficult or easy).

Running is the best solution. I used to run but now I jump rope.
I also do Pilates which helps keep my legs really toned.
