Benzoyl peroxide doesn't work for me at all - when I've used BP creams, I've gotten really bad chemical burns, no matter how little I put. I have normal to dry skin, and my pimples went away completely once I stopped using acne products and started using gentle cleansers and light moisturizers.

Proactiv, like joonieballoonie said although it contains BP which is usually used in most acne creams/gels, the other components(more specifically the cleanser) can lead to more acne. The cleanser has small beads in it that also act to exfoliate and cleanse the skin at the same time, however the beads are really rough. Roughness leads to irritation, irritation leads to acne, if you had no choice but to use Proactiv, I would only use the BP/Moisturizer, stay away from the cleanser and find something more gentle.

I've used it, and it wasn't so bad ~
sometimes I do get dried skin which I hate
they tell you to use it daily and if you don't your face
does breakout at times
my parents tell me to stay away from acne creams and stuff
its better off just leaving it unless you have serve acne issues : P

I tend to get dry skin too because of benzoyl peroxide... all the products I have don't have that... my skin really doesn't like it!. Stay away! HISSS.
Getting a good moisturizer could solve your problems?

I heard it has steriods??
My personal experience.
The first time, it was sososo strong
that my face turned bright red and puffy for a really long time ... (the next day)
Then, my face became very dry.
And, If I didn't use it consistently,
every single day, I would get
MASSIVE breakouts !
Then, I stopped using it,
I have a clear-er face.
You do the math
