For all of you who never been to Korea... what is the one thing you would most like to eat in Korea???

I personaly have never been to Korea but I would most like to eat Tteokbokki... or at least try it.. laugh.gif

i love to try all korea food, tried cooking dukbokki, bibimbap and making kimchi myself and theres alot of korean restaurant in SG where i can try the food,
but having to try the local food in Korea itself sure is another type of experience.
i will really love to try jajangmyun! always see ppl eating it on variety shows, cant stop drooling!

AHHHHH so many of them...

I can make a decent ddeok-bok-gi on my own and jjajangmyun now that it comes in a nice little pre-made pouch for me. However, soon-dae is almost impossible to access. I also miss sweet potato pizza topping, as well as fresh uh-mook (o-deng!). Fresh ddeok is also very hard to come by and it seems that no one makes a decent red-bean filled song-pyun anymore! They're filled with seseme seeds T~T.

But the thing I miss the most is naeng-myun... You have to pay so much to get a decent one around here! Half the restaurants don't even make the noodles right. Pooooo....

OMG, so much stuff I miss. I cook most of what I wanna eat here, but some things are just not the same.

I miss Yangnyum chicken (especially BBQ Chicken's), Bul dak (REAAAAALLLYY spicy chicken - can't eat it without a bottle of soju first to numb my tongue out a little lol), Gamja Tang, Boong Eo Bbang, dong dong joo (alcohol... does this count? lol), sook sung sam gyub sal, Bon juk (it's a chain that sells 'juk', aka rice porridge), etc. etc. etc.

Ooh and I miss san nakji (live octopus/squid - always confused which). I know I miss a lot more, but I think that list would be endless.... I eat a lot of weird things... lol ;;;
Finally gave in to making a new soompi acct. after the new email policy. -.-;; lol

Hm...there's a lot, haha. I don't know the spelling, but sundae? It's sausages sold by street vendors. There was this one stall near my grandparent's apartment where they sold it along with slices of beef and salt/red pepper mixture T-T And shikae...a rice drink, I haven't had that in ages!!!
