So... a quick (and possibly stupid) question - is it possible to install language support (specifically korean, japanese, and chinese) onto cell phones?
and if so: how?!
Thanks ^^

I don't think you can install them if they're not available by default.

I don't think you can. They should be already on there by default.
Most GSM phones have korean, japanese, and chinese though =D

That is wrong. Phones are either imported from China or Europe, mostly China. You can have Chinese as language, if you imported it from there, but any other language is impossible and not common. GSM phones with any other language besides English or Chinese is very very rare, or just don't exist at all.

It really depends. Sometimes flashing different firmware wont guarantee that it'll have the language.

Got any links to where you've read it?
You can't update the firmware to get it just like that. It's all about the model of the phone and if there are any firmware updates for it, which rarely has more language input in the update. Plus, if you update the firmware of a phone and the firmware doesn't support the phone, good luck with the phone because it'll be bricked.
