I downloaded a .rmvb video and when i played it on media player classic and windows media player, the video played upside down! The station logo is on the lower right and is written backwards. Can anybody recommend a (free) video rotating program?
or whether i can manipulate any media player so i can play it upright? Thanks!

It's very easy to do with Media Player Classic. You first need to go to the Options screen.

Go to the Playback > Output section. Since this is a Real Media file, you need to set the player to either DirectX7 or DirectX9 under the RealMedia Video section. Next under the VMR7/9 (renderless) & DirectX 7/9 settings section, select Use texture surfaces and render video in 3D. Hit Apply then OK to exit. Close Media Player Classic.
Start playing your RMVB file again using Media Player Classic. While the video is playing, hold down the ALT key and either the 2 or 8 Numpad keys (for adjusting along the X axis), hold down the 4 or 6 Numpad keys (for the Y axis), or hold down the 1 or 3 Numpad keys (for the Z axis aka rotating the picture clockwise / counter-clockwise). You should see the X: Y: Z: angle numbers on the bottom left of the window. Everything should be self-explanatory from there.

Thank you!
I tried it but it resizes the video file and doesn't rotate it..i could see the X, Y and X axis but i think instead of the angle, it's still referring to the position:

Here's my settings just in case

it'll resize the video if you only hold down the number keys... you have to hold down the ALT key as well... like ALT+2 or ALT+8 etc etc...
Num keys only = resizing video
ALT + Num keys = flipping and rotating video
CTRL + Num keys = adjusting position of the video up/down, left/right

Your default keys might not be mapped the same as mine...

Go back to the options screen and goto Player > Keys. Under the Command column look for the PnS Rotate keys. As you can see, mine is set by default to rotate by holding down Alt + 4 or 6 on the Numpad. If yours is different then the "modifier" might be CTRL, ALT or no extra key need to be held down at all. Obviously under the "key" column, you'd press whatever key it is to do that particular command.
I'd just press whatever it says to press in order for you to do those PnS Rotate X - and + commands. Just make sure if it says VK_NUMPAD that you're pressing the numbers on the right of the keyboard and not the ones above the letters on your keyboard. Just checkin'!!!!
