The phones aren't really stellar. I'm currently using the krzr from them, and it's alright.
But it depends on what you're going for. If you want nice phones, in my opinion, Rogers has way better phones (I used to be with Rogers).

Complain to the carrier like you've never done in your life, then you could probably get a different phone or switch.

hmm. true. my mom went to her and complained about it. but they were like "write tdown the times you can't recieve phone calls and we'll help you blah blah blah". I don't know what she said but w.e if you're switching phones, don't you need to finsihing paying for the terms you paided for:? like a 3 year term? or something?

Or of course cancel it, pay the ugly fee and sign a new contract.
Rogers > Bell anyday.
The only phone I find alright from Bell is the Samsung Doubleflip

I don't know how carriers and the law works in Canada. So, I wouldn't be of much help besides giving use some general advice.
If your service is really horrible, then they should be able to let you go free of charge, but that's if the contract says so. If not, then you're screwed. You could also threaten them by telling them you'll sue them for poor service that they had promise and that they didn't do anything to help you. Again, I don't know if this will work in Canada; or you can just pay the fee. It'll be worth it since you stuck in contract for a very long time. 3 years just sound ridiculous.
