anyhow, so i play , piano, violin, electric violin, acoustic guitar

but now that ive achieved what ive wanted in those instruments so im looking to play the electric guitar, after listening to some inspiring j-rock,

so i want to play the lead guitar role, meaning the part which plays the melody of the piece. Question is, is there a specific kind of electric guitar i need to get to play this role ? i dun wanna buy an electric guitar and twiddle with it for an hr and realise its the wrong one lolz..
if it helps, i wanna play ' god knows by aya hirano ' (melody part)

Is there a certain model you have your eyes on at the moment? Fender strats are good =B. Find something you're comfy with and fit the type of music you want to play. Theres single coil pick ups and then theres humbuckers. I guess just research of them and then go try out dif guitars...

Going to a store and testing out guitars is the best way to go. Helps you figure out what kind of sound you want.

imo dont get a squier as your first guitar
a ibanez jetking 2 is a goot guitar to start with
low price should be able to get them for around 450
there versatile, sounds goot with whatever your playing

since your in syd you'll prob have to order
theres a shop in turramura that orders them, for 450

if you wanna spend a lot on your first guitar
then you should prob do your own researching and testing
find a goot guitar that plays rock not metal or jazz
