For professional pictures, use Canon powershot cameras. Cell phones don't have 'special modes'.. The rounded edges is from cyworld's photo editing options.

Ulzzang's use photoshop to edit their pictures. The rounded camera's your talking about are SLR cameras and to take pictures like models, you have to look like a model yourself anyway? lol

ahahahaa
no they dont stephen. who said they'll turn out LOOKING like models? they just are taking the pictures like the models :/
hahaa

hrmms. i dont really understand what you mean by "pro-pictures" can you give us an example?
if you want to have actual "model-looking pictures", you could always take glamour shots. the prices range depending on where you live. if you're in the US, i know they cost around 300 to 500 USD. if you're in taiwan, its about 40 USD...and that's all i know lol
you could always just take studio pictures with friends
OR go take purikura by yourself ohmy.gif
but if what you mean by "ulzzang" is just regular pictures with big eyes tiny lips etc...
then....you just take random pictures by yourself
oh and have a lot of makeup handy

You don't have to have a DSLR to have good pictures. Some ulzzangs do have DSLR's but it's almost impossible to take pictures of yourself with a DSLR so there's really no point.

What you need:
1. A decent digital camera (Canon's are nice imo)
2. Good lighting
3. Good angle
4. Adobe Photoshop (it's all about the photoshop)

It's also nice to have other people take pictures of you to get a nice shot.

That's just sad. Who goes to those photo booths on their own?
You gotta go with friends -__-

Most ullzangs rely on PhotoShop while models wears lots of makeup, have bright lighting and a professional cameraman

짱 (jjang): Korean slang that means "best." Ulzzang means "best face" in Korean and the word is used both online and in real life. Basically, an ulzzang is someone who has a very attractive face, but most people use the term to describe people who have become popular for their looks.

Use lighting and angles. Btw, most ulzzangs use CYWORLD EDITOR (available for download at www.cyworld.co.kr), not Adobe Photoshop, to edit their photos. There is an option for rounded borders there; that's what they use.

I'd disagree with that. They use photoshop AND cyworld editor ahaha. Cyworld editor is just for touch up and photoshop is what they use to change more important things...
