ATi 8mb/32mb ( it was top of the line at the time ) Back in 1996 or 1997, it had a dvd player. I remember being so impressed, and so were my friends. LOLz!!
Onboard Graphics 64mb shared
Nvidia Geforce MX4000 64mb
ATi Radeon 9800 all in wonder 128mb
GMA950 up to 256mb shared
ATi Radeon x1950xt 256mb

Waiting for the 9xxx series to come out from Nvidia in December 2007.

Edit: To the person after (below) me. Dude, I had a computer that could only display in vga, my first computer in 1990 (I was only 2 or 3 years old). =P
I also have an atari!!!!! I think my dad bought it back in 1980... maybe 1970?? LOLz

lol, looks like ive been around longer than most of you guys. i used to get the top of the line card until i just gave up, after the TNT2, so bleh.

voodoo 1 4mb (diamond) <-- very first commercial 3d accelerator?
voodoo 2 12mb (canopus)
nvidia tnt 8mb (stb)
nvidia tnt2 ultra 32mb (??cant remember brand??)
geforce1 DDR 128mb (brand..cant remem??)
geforce fx5200 128mb (gigabyte)
ati radeon 9800 pro all-in-wonder 128mb (ati oem) <-- yeah, 9800pro forever, lol cool.gif
ati radeon x700 mobile 64mb (ati)
nvidia 7800gs 256mb (bfg)

my next card will probably be something from nvidia, 1 year from now, when i decide to upgrade. geforce 10 anyone? biggrin.gif cant wait. hopefully prices of lcd monitors sizes 24" and up will drop so i can get one of those to accompany my next big rig.

just a thought, when you get a new video card, you should get a decently sized (higher res) monitor to complement. it sux if you had like a SLI 8800GTX and you're on a 15" CRT or something, lol. i also wouldnt mind a 30" monitor with my new rig tongue.gif..imo, thats the thing that would justify a SLI/crossfire rig.

2900XT for my HTPC needs.

Will pick up a 8800xxx model in the next few weeks when the GT is actually released and compared to the current line.
