Longer Legs. How to get them?!?!

I'm 5'1" and i'm kinda chubby(i'd like to say FAT). i weigh about 122 pounds >.< And my legs are SHORT and FAT!!! Like I just have a fat thigh and fat calves T___T..

What workouts/exercises can I do to get longer legs and burn out the fat in them... >.<?

it pretty much all comes down to genetics, im afraid.
maybe slimming down will make your legs appear longer
but there isnt really much you can do about it >_<

Well, you can try cardio exercises and lose weight overall on your body. After that, do lunges, yoga and pilates (stretch exercises) about 45mins a day, and you might see results in your legs. Also, you can get special sports massages where they massage your whole body, predominately the legs and arms, and by massaging your body part, it stimulates blood, and somehow make your body appear slimmer. Stretch your legs often. I used to put my legs up the bar and reach my toes with my hands for a long time. (forgot what its called haha). I know everyone here says its genetics but both my parents have short legs and my legs are like really really long. Maybe because I'm a dancer and it somehow developed?

you can try what they do in the movies. that machine with ropes that stretches your head and legs.

Take up dancing! Like reggaeton. Doing the booty shake gives you sleek legs and a flat stomach too.

i actually don't recommend that you do lunges or squats, because if your legs are chubby as you say, those exercises will only make your legs look more muscular (take it from me, i have fat legs too and 4 years of fencing were not kind to my physique)

i suggest trying yoga first; it tones and stretches your body, which is probably best for the kind of results you're looking for. and also, if you haven't, start practicing wearing high heels at least 1-2x a week.

i think if you just stretch daily and massage your legs <<sounds weird, but i heard it worked. but mostly stretch!! i'm working on it too (:

you can't get longer legs... you can get thinner legs if you work out though.

LOL u cant get longer legs, it's genetics. you can have them 'appear' a bit longer if you can slim it down. those who mentioned that you can get longer legs through stretching your legs are ridiculous

genetics determines it. just cuz your parents have a certain trait doesnt mean you will have it too. there are dominant and recessive genes (i wont go into details, you look it up or study it) and that's probably why you dont have legs similar to your parents. or it could be how you developed when you were younger.. environment can have an impact on your growth. or it's all up in your mind, you believe you dont have long legs like your parents when in fact, you do.
