ehehhehehee.
hahahhahahhaaaaa.

that's why im not in it!

joking.

my roomies are all in it.
they struggle too.

like.... major struggle. not even nice to see.
dude!! i stress too when they stress.

all those case studies.

i know IT'S NOT EASY.
dude... i just know even though im not in that major.
my roomy failed it 2x before.
and it wasnt just because of the teacher, but the class itself was so difficult.

but i think if you keep reading, and dont lag,
see your conselor often, get a study buddy, and get tutor,
you're doing your best to stay afloat.

stay in it.
i know the pain, the headache.

GOOD LUCK.

I'm a tax major, which is part of the accounting department. But really tax is nothing like accounting, so I can't really help much :/

*waves hand* Accounting major here. The way I survived most of my classes was outlining the chapters - you need to know concepts. Outline major points and study your outline so you don't have to spend days rereading those lengthy chapters. Practice problems! Looks through lecture slide and learn to do the problems...Do a few on your own and check with the answer. But it depends on the class I guess...
For Intro Accounting Courses - it was basically memorization for me - memorizing the financial statement format, journal entries, and etc.

The income statement is really easy when you know the components of what makes up - like Cost of Goods Sold and Cost of Good Manufactured

With Cost Accounting- you really need to examine the data in the problem so that you know how to approach it- What kind of information are they giving you and what cost method or analysis uses that information.

Which Accounting class are you taking?
Overall advice: First time you read the chapter- outline it, you'll get a much better understanding of the material because as you outline- you notice how the information relates to one another. Do the problems, refer back to the notes that you took and keep doing problems until you know how to arrive at the right answer. Test day - just read outline a few times more and do a couple more practice problems.

My brother is an accounting major...he told me accounting has the most boring classes ever.
But he gets like a 3.8 GPA(or somewhere around there) and gets the top grade in his class sometimes :/.

I don't think im gonna take accounting...it looks hard dry.gif

My friend is majoring into the business programs, and she needs to take the required field and especially accounting/finance. She as well is having a hard time with it. It take a lot of handwork and studying. But she saids its going to take her a couple of years to get her BS or BA done.
