at any given moment on any given day, if i think about the things i need to finish
i feel like crying in a corner.

so just come to complain and whine about how unfair your school is
(though probably no one will read your post, it somehow makes us feel better when we complain to death)
ps: i personally think underclassmen have nothing to complain about.
when i was a sophomore, i took all weighted classes (went for but failed obtaining the 5.0 GPA) but i still had time for myself and stuff. freshman year was even EASIER.
but i complained tons my freshman/sophomore years.

so i'll start the complaining smile.gif

i have to write a gatsby essay on the corruption of the american dream.
mm. i have no IDEA what to do.

i have to fully analyze the sun also rises for my IB oral (please kill me now)

PSATs are this saturday and i need to score 225 or higher (asian parents & high expectations, don't ask)

of course, SATs are coming up in about 2 weeks

i have to create a lesson plan for a business subject and i have to research that thing to death

i have called my english teacher completely evil (and he heard me) and i called my spanish teacher completely incapable (and she heard). my precalc teacher thinks i'm a cheater and has a bad opinion of me. so..pretty much my teachers dont like me.

my APUSH teacher teaches in a style i just cant work with

my bio teacher tells dirty jokes all the time in class (which the boys find hilarious and girls find exhausting) and they get annoying after a while.

my bio teacher treats me as a complete idiot and i hate being treated like i'm incapable.

my english class and my bio class are AP and IB combined. so pretty much.. that's a HUGE workload.

i just paid over 300 dollars for my IB tests/registration and i probably won't even do that well on my tests

my classes are just plain DIFFICULT!

ps: i know there's a venting/ranting thread but this is strictly restricted to highschool and course load
so.. yep.
if need be, please close
:)

Well for me it's more relaxed, but it sucks now that we're in high school for the sole fact that people are more idiotic. Like I have this one partner in a group that is doing like a project worth 25 percent of the grade in that class, and she's not done anything... we've had 3 weeks and she hasn't even started and its due next week... God, well we're kinda screwed, but thank god the other members of the group and I are pulling are weights enough where we can make it seem like she did some crap...

But this is what will end up happening, she'll mooch off us to get a good grade... But you know that's how life is... too bad it's not right...

Oh my today - horrible.
I got my report card yesterday and now I have to get it signed. I'm panicking because I only got a 69 in Chem. :[
Which is HORRIBLE!! I can't show my mom!! So I'm waiting till tomorrow to show it to her in the morning so she can't yell at me as much. But now, I'm studying my ass off to get good grades.
And then suddenly, my teacher throws a quiz out tomorrow for us.
Oh, damn?
So today she goes over yesterday's homework and this is what I heard:
"*reading question* Blah blah blah, this is a good question, blah blah blah blah, with 3 unknowns, blah blah blah, must find out which it MIGHT be, blah blah, kinda make a guess, blah blah, important *HINT HINT*, blah blah blah, and, blah blah blah blah, methol red, blah blah blah blah blah blah and then you choose *something else I forget* blah blah blah blah. BLAH."
:[ She spoke so goddamn fast I had no idea what she was talking about, and none of my friends caught it either, and right after she finished explaining she threw us out of the class to do a lab, which took me and my partner all class (we're always really slow. :X) and I never had a chance to ask. :[
I might do so tomorrow morning during school.

And then my Social class also decided to throw a quiz at me tomorrow on Napoleon Bonaparte, which I say I can KINDA do... but overall MEHHH!!
And I should be studying right now but my brain is totally overloaded. ><;;

IB is definitely killing me. I've pretty much given up my weekends to studying and project. That and I also take AP Calculus...

^ lol how's it "extra" credit if it's mandatory (meaning, if you don't do it your grade would go down rather than staying unaffected)

This is senior year, and it has been stressful thinking about testing, about applying to colleges, etc. Not to mention, the homework load is unbearable.

I've pulled more all-nighters this year than I have in my past three years. My junior year, I pulled an all-nighter once every quarter, when times got desperate. This year, however there was one week where I went without sleep three nights in a row. I pull an all-nighter at least once a school week, and I get less than 4 hours of sleep on the average school night. I crash on Fridays and Saturdays and sleep consecutively for 12 hours +

Senior year, I hate you. You've completely thrown off my sleep schedule and stripped my body of any good health it had.

god, requirements are just so stupid these days

and ever since they got rid of OAC school just got 20X more intense
did you guys ever realise that ever since they got rid of OAC, we technically have to pay for it now?
OAC=1st yr. uni ANDDDDD they pushed the curriculum back!

The problem is that I'm NOT Overwhelmed, strange as it sounds. Should have taken AP English Composition, thought it would be as hard as hell, but it turns out, it's super easy. And I can't transfer into the class because all dropped classes right now automatically turn into a "F". Should have taken AP Bio, instead of Hon Bio. And yeah. sad.gif PSATS were today. I was a idiot and forgot to bring my jacket, and the teacher decided to turn the A/C on full blastThe problem is that I'm NOT Overwhelmed, strange as it sounds. I'm starting my Junior year at JCIB, which is according to NEWSWEEK magazine, an "elite public high school"...and yeah, it's IB.

The past two years, I've had to do all my work PLUS work at my parents' restaurant after school until about 10-11 pm. So just think of how much time I have for homework, which is already enough as it is. I usually only get about 4-5 hours of sleep every night, at the most. And I procrastinate so much, half the time I'm not even doing the work, I'm on the internet watching dramas or something. sigh. But I maintained a 3.9 GPA both years.

Now, I'm only scared as to what the next two years will bring, because chances are, these years are going to be more of a challenge than college will be. And I'll also still have to work so many hours at the restaurant. And since IB officially starts junior year, well, let's just say I haven't started freaking out yet.
Park Jaebum, We'll be waiting.
2PM & HOTTEST, Let's walk this together as ONE.
ONLY 7.
Our leadJAY will be back.

^ IB Year I is relatively lax. You will get tons of work for sure, but you will most likely not see the fruitation of all the workyou will do as none of them will actually count towards your IB marks.

You brought most if not all of this stress on yourself through your choices. Don't complain.

Overwhelmed? Ohh yeah~
Kind of fearful/scared too. I have 3 AP classes this year. Extremely hard ones; considering my last year's AP class (teacher was a failure); almost everyone in her class failed it exept 2 people--anyways, that one ap class i took as a sophomore was an easy A but failing with a 2. (APWH).
Now I have: AP US history, Biology and English 3. And only a regualar class of Precal (no biggy, i had the teacher before, he's cool).
We got summer hmwk for APUSH. I know the teacher for the AP Bio cuz I had her for regular Biology. She's pretty nice too. But I know she'll prepare us. The APUSH teacher has a 'professional' feeling to him and previous students who passed his class; ended up passing the ap exam with 5s. But that's only if you manage to pass his class.

Can you honestly say you haven't complained about something you chose to do/not do? o.O
If so... You're pretty lucky(?).

Summer school definitely sucks. Having a 16-week chemistry course packed into a tiny 6-week period is like pouring a ton of sugar into one glass of lemonade. You choke. Plus one day is the equivalent of three days. And I have a test next Tuesday! OMGGG. One of my friends already dropped the class; (you know who you are). sleep.gif I still haven't finished the stupid lab and I don't think I'll be able to live through tomorrow's lecture. I heard chemistry was difficult enough as a year-long course in high school. As a high school student, taking a summer-SHORT course in college is horrible.

rolleyes.gif As embarrassing as this sounds, I've pretty much had a breakdown once a year since 9th grade from all the work I get (usually around November/December). Don't know if this is normal, but I just feel hopelessly overwhelmed and start crying on the phone to my best guy friend about how useless I feel...not that I'm really emotional or anything. It's a yearly thing...I think everybody feels like that once in a while.
