Is anyone else having trouble getting into their Gmail? After typing in www.gmail.com, it doesnt load the page. It keeps making a clicking noise like as if it's done loading, but it's not. It just keeps doing it over and over again. I tried deleting temp. internet files and restart, and still it doesn't load. Can someone help?

Well it shouldn't be a Javascript problem as it should take you to one of their "basic" pages. Perhaps it was just a regular hiccup on Google's side which happens once in a while. Try again? Mine is working fine at the moment.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_file
Go to your HOST file and see if there are extra entries there. You can ignore everything with a # in front (those are comments). You should only have one entry there.
Is it just GMail that's down? Some virus will block you from certain files, checking your msconfig/registry wouldn't hurt but if it doesn't reveal anything, you may want to scan for virus.

^ i just installed firefox and amazingly, i can access my gmail now. with IE though, it keeps trying to load and load. i downloaded spybot and found out i had a couple of bugs and then fixed that, and then tried to access again with IE and still the same thing. oh well, whatever. i deleted IE off my laptop for good and am just gonna use firefox from now on.
