Okay, I use to have thin eyebrows (not crazy thin but still pretty thin) and it was only recently that I started noticing it looks really awkward having thin eyebrows. So now I'm growing them out and I really have no idea what to tell the lady to do when I get them threaded. What shape should I do? Is there certain shapes for specific facial shapes? I don't want to end up having messed up looking eyebrows. laugh.gif Thanks in advance!

Here are some eyebrow shapes:

but I really like the bottom right one the best, its not too thin or too arched

you can just tell the person to not make it too thin biggrin.gif

I like the bottom row best =]
not too thin or big, and it's not too curvy like a rooftop xD

lol, I think you're thinking too much of how bad it'll look, more than how good it CAN look
dont worry too much about it.

You just tell the lady who waxes them to clean it for you. That way, it won't look too messy/thin/thick but just right for your face.

Ohhh I know what you mean! I naturally have very guyish eyebrows, but I plucked them into shape by myself in middle school. But when you pluck yourself, it's really easy to overpluck. And when I was in college, one day I realized that my eyebrows were really thin and sparse.. and weird-looking. o_o It took about 2 months for my eyebrows to fully grow back (I looked so ridiculous during that time haha), but then I plucked them myself again lol. They now look like the bottom middle shape of the above posted picture. I have to force myself to stay away from the tweezer now.. so sad~ If I were you, I'd just take a picture in and ask her to thread your eyebrows in that shape. G'luck! ^^*

i've always been a medium thickness eyebrow person. i've never really liked it thin (because for one it didn't fit my face) but then i don't like it that thick too (like that of Song Hye Gyo's thick eyebrow phase...too damn thick like a guys but lucky for her she doesn't look like a guy).

i like a slightly thinner version of the MC-8819-11 or as is the MC 8819-9

I'm sporting something like the middle image on the bottom row.
However, I'm not fond of it. Maybe it's just me and my facial structure ..
But I find that it's a little too thick and doesn't really give definition.

I used to have the last image on the second row ..
But after some time, I collapsed the curve for the style I have now.
I like that one much better though.

I suggest the last one on the third row.
It looks sculpted but not in an overwhelming sense.
That's what I think. :)

Just wait till your eyebrows grow back again.
You just have to suffer a few weeks with bushy eyebrows.
Good luck with that.

hehe, I realized I didn't really contribute anything.
If it helps, I also like te bottom middle.
If you have a well defined jaw-line, I think the bottom ones would look really nice, coz it will sort of soften your face.

Recently I had my eyebrows threaded by a lady near my workplace. The process was painful, so I suggest no make-up, even mascara. The lady told me the key was to go real fast but I kept stopping her because my tears wouldn't stop squeezing out! In the end, I was satisfied with the results- despite my swollen eyes. However a couple days later, I notice the area around my eyebrows started getting random irritated red bumps [thank god i have bangs to hide them]. My friend told me the reason might be that when you thread your eyebrows for the first time the hair that is yanked out opens up new pores. And in a couple days time the fresh pores can easily get dirty and end up becoming pimples. Or it can simply be irritation on highly sensitive skin, which i have.

My eyebrows still look good, but I'm not sure if skin irritation is worth it!
Sentimental crowd,
one is thirsty for ideal...

It really depends on your face shape! If you have an oval face, then pretty much every eyebrow shape would suit you. The arch eyebrows would define your face more though! smile.gif

^yes its weird, cause it's obvious, just pluck the stray hairs out.

last time i saw a guy with "shaped" eyebrows, it looked WAAAY too...feminine.

you can just ask the threader to shape it naturally, basically pluck stray hairs and shape it to your natural arch.

Well just be glad yours aren't like Rock lee's like mine. People mistake me as a guy wherever I go.

I don't think my mom would let me get mine done, so any tips on doing them myself would be wonderful, if I actually can... D8;;!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL xD
You're so cute =x

My mom didn't let me touch mine either
And my sister always made fun of my eyebrows saying they looked like Song Seung Hun's 'Kim' eyebrows because they were really dark, rather thick, and straight

I don't shape them...just keep them clean...and I think that's what you should do, too. Especially because thick eyebrows are making a comeback.

I really like my eyebrows now =)

But if you're in the process of growing them out...maybe you should get bangs to take attention away from them for a while?

Grow your brows out fully first, and find a shape that is most natural to your natural brow shape.
Marissa: I would suggest you model your shape on Hayden Panettiere brows, I see it sorta in your natural brow shape.
