For me, I was caught off-guard when seeing their 'Tonight' MV for the first time.
The whole song's atmosphere is just so passionate.
It starts off with Junsu & Changmin's high tone and Micky playing piano,
and continues along with Jae's incredible falsetto in the end.

Love in the Ice is such an emotional song; left me crying even hearing it for the first time.
Their vocal described its lyrics very well, the hardness and loneliness endured in life
The highlight's gotta be the bridge part where their vocals overlapped each other
with Junsu singing the main melody and the other doing adlib in high notes

for others, I think it'd be 'Remember', the vocal harmonization blends in perfectly with the mood as well as instruments.

for me, Tonight among their Korean songs and Love in the Ice for Japanese. i'll elaborate on this.

like you said, vocal-wise, i think these two songs really show us dongbang fans that these boys can sing. if i were to compare both songs, eventho one's in korean the other in japanese, i think LitI further proved that dongbangshinki arent just all about dancing, looks and personality. they are a group of 5 talented singers. I wish they'd sing Tonight at this stage, since all five boys improved on their live performances tremendously. they've never performed Tonight live perfectly; however, they did a good job during Rising Sun concert albeit a few flaws here and there.

with LitI, in just their second performance of the song, all managed to sing it almost record-perfect, esp with Yoochun hitting that note. im sure many of us are quite awed with that.

some songs i'd like to mention: 1000 yr love song's made for Yunnie's voice. his voice blended so well with the music. All in Vain showed a different side to Yoochun's voice. Beautiful Life suits Changmin's flexible vocals perfectly. Junsu can sing just about any song, but his voice in their newest single, Forever Love was simple "heartwrenching" in a good way... and what can I say about Jaejoong that wouldn't make me sound too biased? his voice is just someone that really magnetized me. it's beautiful. the way he sang INSA made me teary-eyed.

If I had to pick songs that really show off their vocals, it would be Tonight and Love in the Ice as well.

For Tonight, many parts require reaching notes in a great range and they, especially Junsu, Jaejoong and Changmin did a great job in that. This song has a lot of parts that ask for them to go up and down frequently and this really showcases their range capabilities. This of course includes Jae's falsetto near the end of the song. I too would love to see this performed live again with their improved vocal skills.

In Love In the Ice, there are harmonizing and solo parts. Their voices are much more stabler than before which is particularly apparent during the bridge where Junsu leads with the main melody and notably when Yoochun hits that high note during the live. Micky usually sings lower parts but it shows that he can reach higher notes as well. Yunho's voice is not shaky as it has been in earlier songs. As for harmonization, they all blend well and support each other at appropriate parts.

In their new song Forever Love, I really have to say they all did so well and have improved a lot. Like previously mentioned, their voices are much more stable in the song and convey their emotions well. Instead of just hitting the notes as one by one, they could control the transitions smoothly. They could sustain long notes no problem. All of them especially Yunho really improved here. The way they present this song really captured the mood of the song and it definitely helps make this a powerful and touching ballad.

Anyway, I picked Love in the Ice because all of them were good in there.

i think there's also I Wanna Hold You, Remember (my favourite korean song), Whatever They Say... i think those showcase their vocals too. <3

for japanese songs, i pick Begin. everyone's vocals are fantastic here... and i love the harmonizing at the beginning by yoochun+changmin, and yunho+changmin.

That song just totally MELTS ME.

And well.. Their new single Forever Love is quite alright, it doesn't showcase their range, but it brings out the charm and charisma in their voices.

I love "Tonight" oh-so-much.
But when I listened to "Love In The Ice", I fell deeply in love with it as well.

For different reasons of course.

For "Tonight", I love how each of the boys flaunt their vocal talents and I oh-so-love their "screaming" parts.
For "Love In The Ice", the way their voices harmonize with each other(the "ha ha haaa~" part especially) is mesmerizing.

And... all their a cappella songs. Singing without the aid of any instruments is the best.

I'm not a fan of "Tonight". I just... don't like the song. Well, I don't hate it, but it's definitely not my favorite ballad.

But I love love love "Love in the ice". It's a great song. I wish there was an acapella version for that song, like an actual released acapella, like what they did for "Whatever They Say" and "Begin".

They did well in both songs, but in "Love in the ice" they actually carried their vocals more. In "Tonight" they were more like screaming, lol. I'm very amazed with Junsu's voice in "Tonight" though. His voice is amazing. And I love Yunho's voice in "Love in the ice". =)

Tonight-

Definitely the best Korean song which showcases their vocals. The high-tone intro of Junsu and Changmin was awesome. Not to forget Jaejoong's falsetto. Yoochun playing the piano, <3 And Yunho, he was good too.

Love in the Ice-

My favourite Japanese song! Yeah, heartwrenching in a good way. I love the intro! Though it was repetitive. The harmonization was so well done. And the bridge. The part where Junsu sings the main (Jaejoong sings that high tone 'My heart~', Yoochun's 'You know, let you know my love..') it was awesome. Yoochun ended his line with a high tone during the live performance and he did that so well! Changmin, I'm so loving his voice. And Yunho improved heaps!

Others would be the accapellas. Such as My Little Princess, Whatever They Say. These 2 are my favourite accapellas of dbsk.

Not to forget, their latest single, Forever Love.
Junsu started the intro, his voice, love! And with Jaejoong singing the first chorus. Yoochun and Yunho sounded really good! I love Changmin singing one full chorus! It definitely showcases his vocal more.

Both songs i feel showcase their vocals very well so i can't really choose. And i actually wanna add Hey!Girl to the list, Changmin is superb there when he hits the high notes.

LOVE IN THE ICE. Tonight is a tremendously difficult song to sing and they sang it really well, but I guess it was because they were still KINDA new that they didn' totally rock the song out. I wanna hear them sing that song now to compare...

But gahh.. Love in the Ice <3 The live performance they gave was amazing and ALL their vocals shined. Even though Yunho still needed a little encouragement from our Joongie because he was kinda struggling, the song was still beautiful and displayed their singing abilities greatly! Chunnie's high note still gets me every time. I was so amazed and I was instantly in love with the song. Junsu did amazing; it was like he put his entire heart and soul into the song. Changmin controlled his vocals really really well and he hit all the notes perfectly. Jaejoong? When did he ever fail to deliver? hahaha <3 Definitely my favorite live song.


Now I wanna hear FOREVER LOVE live. I'm seriously INFATUATED with this song <3

It's hard to choose between Tonight and Love in the Ice because for me both of the songs show off their vocals the best in Korean and Japanese respectively.
