But Korean music industry is quite different from that in philippines.
Here in the phils it's talent over looks, but in Korea, sadly, it's the other way around.
Not saying she's ugly, but her features aren't exactly celebrity material.
If I were to decide, I'd rather that she tries her luck in the United States.

she is soo much better than sam... no offense to sam fans but i don't know how he won LBS. his voice is okay but Charice's is more powerful.

i think she proved how FIlipino singers usually sing.. like screaming and always hitting the high notes. i think Korea hasn't seen any singer sing like that but now they have!

truthfully, i find nothing outstanding about her except that she can sing lolls
so many ppl in this world can sing. many younger girls came out on starking and sang songs too.
shes just getting the most recognition worldwide.

shes quite cute too and VERY young looking. i thought she was 10

if she does ever debut as a singer, i hope she gets the right songs.
i wish her the best of luckk

trust me on this. they're are farrr more better YOUNGER filipino singers in the Philippines that are better singers than she is. singing like this in the philippines is a common thing for younger kids living over there. that's the reason why she wasn't really recognized in the PI...unlike korea where they were blown away by her singing abilities.

when you were reffering to this statement "korean singers that arent into kpop" i'm assuming you're talking about older koreans that sings ballad songs.. i mean of course they are going to be better than her. i mean this girl is barely getting started, has less experience, and has yet to reach puberty. we'll just have to wait til she gets older.

I just got the Star King clip in my email the other day. I watched it with my mom and my grandmother and we all were floored. I know they are going to bring her to the US. The world needs to hear this girls voice. It's beyond amazing.

yea.. my comment wasn't negative in any way. it is just that the way Charice sings is soo common among Filipino singers. they( people in the Philippines) are looking for something new in my opinon. most of our music are ballads hitting the high notes is a must.

The thing is, talented little kids like her from the Philippines have been trained to act like divas and appear extremely experienced in the entertainment industry. They dig that sort of thing. Although I'm a big fan of her singing, I have to agree that her stage presence is undeniably exaggerated, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. XD Star King made her look younger than she appears (with what the choice of clothes and whatnot) to be but she was trained to act older than she should be. Lol. That kinda clashes.

That's why many people are bothered by her supposed 'arrogance'. She isn't really, but she has to appear 'confident'.

I don't understand why some people are saying she should be coming into SM. I mean, she's probably not going to be trying to learn a whole new language(Korean) anytime soon.

Anyways, I was totally amazed by her performance on Star King. Jaw-dropping performance. I was like, "Is she lip-syncing?!" But of course not. I just hope the best for her future. Hopefully she'll get a good record deal and all that jazz. I'll be supporting her!

And like someone else mentioned, I hope she gets invited to Oprah or something. HAHAHA. xD

I think she should try the asian market first, before she comes here in the US. The asian countries are open right now for artist to cross over and prove that she could be a star, and at least the Koreans are willing to give her a chance to be an international star.
