Just wondering if anyone else is majoring in it. I recently changed my major from nursing to biochem, and I'm really excited smile.gif.

Yea i'm trying to get into med/pharm school too. and i heard biochem can build a solid background of sciences for you. i'm considering upgrading into biochem my junior year. (yea, we all start out at bio sci and then it gets branched out junior year...)

That sounds intense, how are you holding up? I'm thinking biochem and business double.

Biochem and Business makes perfect sense. Just about anything with business makes sense, cuz you can make a business out of anything as long you're profiting somehow. Biochem is actually smart since its a perfect combination to run a pharm company, and I think we all know how profitable those are, some of those CEOs are pulling 7 figures easy.

Nice to see so many people majoring in Biochem, but theres so much competition already. *sigh*

I was initially a Biochem/pre-pharm. Now I'm creative writing/pre-pharm.

It sounds dumb, but I figure that I might as well get a major in something I like. And who knows, having a creative writing major may help me stand out a little bit among all the science majors. But I'm still taking all the science pre-reqs...

I hate O Chem and its infintely huge number of mechanisms.

So you do have to take O-chem. What colleges do you guys go to and what are you planning to do after college? I'm attending a CC right now and I don't really know what my career path is...

Biochemistry major and Psychology minor.
I was going to do a Biology major + Biochem minor, but since most of the classes required for Biochem have me covered for med school, I just chose that.
