Hey guys,
My parents are planning to get me a laptop and change our 256kbps to a faster wireless.
The thing is..I don't know much about laptops and wireless internet xD
So can someone tell me briefly the answers to the following questions? =D

What type/brand laptop do you recommend?
Is Vista on a laptop considerably alright?
Would wireless be able to work with multiple computers? (three, lol)
What type of things would you need for wireless?
Does wireless get annoying? (Connection wise)

And anything more you think I need to know ^__^

What type/brand laptop do you recommend?
Not sure, a lot my co-workers have dell laptops. I used to own a thinkpad before it died.
I still prefer desktop to laptops. The only advantage to a laptop is that it's portable.

Is Vista on a laptop considerably alright?
Yes, get at least 1gb of memory.

Would wireless be able to work with multiple computers? (three, lol)
Yes, as long as all three computers have wireless cards.

What type of things would you need for wireless?
A modem, wireless router and wireless cards for each computer that needs to connect to the wireless router.

Does wireless get annoying? (Connection wise)
It's not reliable as a wired connection and the further away the comp is from the router the weaker the signal.
At times your connection might drop. If you are planning to connect multiple computers around the house to the internet, wireless is more convenient.


Make sure to secured your wireless router so people can't leech of your internet.
