My Weight Loss Journal[update! 12/31/2009] Cheer me on! :]

Hey Soompiers! New Year, and new goal!

Due to being an freshman and having tonsss of homework, stress with school, work, family, and the now ex-boyfriend, I've managed to put on some weight. =( Unfortunately.

So I'm gonna revise my plan.

For breakfast, depending on when I wake up, I plan on having a yogurt and a piece of fruit, probably an apple or a banana, and a bottle of water to last me through the morning.

As for snacks, I might put some cereal, such as Special K, or some cut up apples into little baggies, and take them to class with me ^^

For lunch, given that I don't know what my school cafeteria has (>.>;) I plan on either sticking to my turkey sandwhich (hahah) or seeing what they have.

For snacks, I'll probably be able to be in my room, and I'll probably snack on a Smuckers Uncrustables or something. (LOVE the stuff, so bad for me though. >.<)

For dinner, I'll try to incorporate veggies and water with everymeal, alterning between meat and pasta or something for the bulk of the meal.

I will cut off all eating after 9~

And I will update with pictures every week! And I'm going to incorporate the gym every Wednesday and Friday night, on treadmill, elliptical, and ab machine.

My weight now is: 119
My goal weight is: 100

So right now, since I do Chinese Traditional dance and my dance teacher calls us all fat, and due to the fact that I seem to be gaining more weight now from when i was younger, I decided to go on a diet.

CURRENT STATS

Height: 5'2"
Weight: 114 lbs.[T__________T;;]
BMI: 20.8
Started: 10/23/07

GOAL STATS

Height:5'2"
Weight:100 lbs.
BMI: 18.3
Goal Date: 11/22/07

I know that for my height, 100 pounds is considered underweight. But keep in mind I do dance and dancing requires people to be thin. I know I won't be stick thin, because when I was 4'11 I weighed 85 pounds. Then again, I was 4'11" in 7th grade =P

So my daily exercise will be...wooh! Basically no exercise.

Monday-Friday- walk home from school.[about a 15 minute walk from the bus stop.]
Sometime during the week-Work[I run around for 4 hours. Working at a bakery is harder than it looks.]
Saturday- Run for 1 lap around the park[gradually increase to 2,3,etc.]
Sunday- Dance class for 1 and a half hour. [think Cardio. CARDIO.....!!]


So help me out Soompiers! I'm gonna post everyday with what I ate for breakfast, lunch,snack, and dinner.

My Rules
1. Absolutely NO soda. Only water.
2. Stick to a 1200 calorie diet.
3. Keep records.
4.Must exercise everyday.
5.Limit sugar.
6.Resist temptationnnnnn.
7.Stick with the diet this time.
Cheer me on guys!

Your regime looks decent but 1200 calories is way to little. Use this to calculate your calorie intake.

not that im getting anywhere close to that


dancers are 'required' to be thin
thick dancers are actually better at dancing because they have more muscles

I'm like 158 cm and..52 kg? Something like that.

So my diet failed. Miserably. That's why I'm gonna start it again! And this time, I will update everyday with what I eat, so I can see it on the screen and be mortified for life. My best friend enjoys yelling at me, tellig me if I lose any more weight, I'll be skin and bones -//-;;

12/03/2007

So today I was sick. :[ Had to come back from school early and all that jazz. I actually ot to school at 7:20, came home at 9:20. Had a slightlyyy elevated temperature of 99.4, but I never get sick. So when I do, all hell breaks loose.

Came back, took some medicine, slept until 12. Woke up, ate:

a bowl of Corn Pops with milk and bananas

Then I went on the netz[Soompi!] and yeah.

Dinner I had kimchi jjigae sans beef...and my mom made me eat spicy beef. I only had a tiny piece though. :]

No fatty snacks, I'm proud of myself.

Oh, and of course, just water, nothing else!

114 at 5'2 isn't supposed to be a fat weight, i think.
is there a specific reason why you want to lose weight?

Don't get too carried away. Those blogrings usually lure you into Pro-Anorexia girls who will brainwash you into eating nothing.


Eating nothing actually makes you gain weight, because you lose control and your body goes into starvation mode and holds on to every little single thing.

No, it's not. I'm in the healthy range BMI-wise. I want to lose weight because I dance, and lately, I've been getting really grossed out with my weight.

This morning: Medication
Nothing else-wasn't hungry.

Lunch:
Turkey Sandwhich on white bread with lettuce, tomato, and onion-I ate half the sandwich. [70+
Macaroni salad- one scoop[like, ice ccream scoop...?]
Water
Fantastix-130 calories

-about 630 calories

Dinner:
-Leftover Kimchi jjigae[<3 that stuff!]
-About 150 calories

Snack:

Journal: This morning,I was still kind aeh, so I just took my medication and left for school. At around 10-ish? I had maybe 10 pretzel sticks, the thin ones. Then I went to lunch, where I had a turkey sandwich on white with onions, lettuce and tomato, and a scoop of macaroni salad. I ate half the sandwich and almost all of the macaroni salad, and I had a bag of chips,[130 cals.] Then I came home, and had some leftover kimchi jjigae, heated up n the stove[about 150 cals.] No soda, no nothing. Just the water today (:

Right now I'm slightly dizzy, but I think that's because I ate wayyy too little calories today. @_@

Breakfast:
Wasn't hungry again. Still sick. Had my medicine, and one pancake cuz my mom was nagging about how I wouldn't be focused blah blah blah.

Lunch:

Half a pizza, apple juice, Fantastix.

Dinner:

Croissant.

Snack:

5 Saltines= 60 calories.


Daily Calorie Intake: Around 700?

Weight:

Ballooned back to 114. :[

Journal:

So I think this medicine is totally making me balloon out. :[

Breakfast: Half a bowl of Corn pops, medication.

Snack: 3 cookies. :]

Dinner:...a sesame bagel with butter.

I'm far too lazy to figure out aall the calories, but today was a good day. I felt really woozy in the morning, but that wa probably my medication. This whole diet thing is a LOT harder than I imagined, considering I should only be eating around 900 calories a day to successfullly get to my goal weight. Hold on, let me go weigh myself...

I don't know how big or what kind of cookies you ate, but going by the the estimation that 1 cookie = 100 calories It could've been more or less than about 300 calories? See, that right there is about a third of your daily 900 calorie limit. I bet it wasn't very filling. Next time when you have sweet cravings why not go for fruits? Try a smoothie for example. Here's a recipe if you need:

Strawberry-Bannana Smoothie
-1 banana (90~100 calories)
-Fresh Strawberries (I don't know how many strawberries you'd want to add, but I usually add about 20 calorie amount into it? The average strawberry is only 4 calories, and a cup of strawberries is about 45 calories.)
-1/2 cup of ice (Yay! 0 calories 8D )

This usually fills up about 1 big cup for me. It's a lot healthier, energizing, filling, and definitely less fattening then the cookies!

Yeah, I ate the cookies through the day, not all at once. Just kinda proke it in 2 and munched on a half when I was hungry.

Can't relly make a smoothie in school, but will definitely follow your advice when at home on weekends. Thanks!=)

Breakfast:

No snack :]

Lunch:

Half a bagel with strawberry cream cheese, a bag of Fantastix, and water. Bagel: 210 divided by 2= 105
Fantastix= 130 calories
Cream Cheese=35 calories

270 calories

Dinner:

A bowl of Kimchi, apple cider, and 2 chicken sticks.

Total about.....500 I'm guessing?


My appetite has been going way down. I don't even really eat at lunch anymore. I only eat because my friends make me eat. I don't eat snacks, whatever. I cried my eyes out this afternoon, and I just haven't been able to stomach anything. My mom is getting worried, and I only ate to make her happy. I'm not turning anorexic or anything, I'm just not hungry anymore.

Let me go weigh myself.

Today:

Breakfast: Mmm..a glass of water, a plain bagel, and some reduced-fat cream cheese spread.

Lunch: Mommy's dumplings! <3 I didn't have too many, don't worry ahaha. And waterr.

Dinner: What dinner? I didn't eat dinner.


So I noticed my appetite has been going wayy down...just breakfast and lunch mostly..and when I do snack, I snack healthy! Persimmons <33 They're really yummy, and filling too, so I have one and I'm not hungry for like, hours. x] It helps do the trick. Now let me go weigh myself...

Oh! And for the first time since I started this journal, I went to dance class. Mad cardio. Think jumps, splits, and twists in the air. Also supporting someone like, double my weight on my back...*sigh*

112 pounds! ^^

The thing is...I have a erally small frame. So when I lose even 2 pounds, people notice, and they're like"Have you lost weight?" Uh, yeah, 2 measely pounds. But 12 pounds to go right? Wish me luck everyone!

Lunch: Half a turkey sandwhich with lettuce, turkey[duh tongue.gif], tomato, and onion
Small carton of apple juice[60 cals.]
One bag of Fantastix[130 cals]

Dinner: 8 dumplings
Half a duck egg-thingy.
Water

Snack: Persimmon!

So I ate slightly more today, but it's because I've started to work out in Gym, as in running. So half a mile in Gym[doesn't sound like a lot, but I haven't been exercising since like, ever.] My appetite is slowly coming back, but I'm pretty good at balancing it. I think I have too much sodium intake, must cut down on that. =/

FINAL WEIGHT:

112 lbs.
