I have a question ... i hope someone knows...? if not its OKAY. Let's say for the first semester of grades I get a 3.5, and the second semester I do better and get a 3.9 ...

will the two average together and then that overall gpa goes into my official overall high school gpa, or will the two just go into the overall gpa without averaging? anyone know?

also if u do worse than ur average gpa for a semester, cuz my gpa overall is a 3.8, and this semester (1st) i haven't been doing that good, around a 3.5, will it lower my gpa by alot?

cummulative GPAs are calculated by semesters.

also, it depends what year you're in to see if that 3.5 would affect your 3.8 a lot.

if you're a senior, it'll affect it, but not as much as if you were a sophomore.

you can calculate it yourself. add up your GPAs for each semester (along with your predicted GPA for the next one), and then divide by total number of semesters.

ie: (3.95 + 3.9 + 3.9 + 3.85 + 3.9 + 3.8 + 3.8)/7
