I may be biased but BMW for sure and most people would say the same.

Audi is pretty much Volkswagen, although their new models are lookin better now.

Our family's '98 5.28i has had 3 or 4 electrical problems and our climate control buttons just fell out of their sockets. My friend owned a '96 3.25i coupe and admits to it having had electrical problems. My other friend has an E36 M3. They're BMW enthusiasts and read up on things and don't think there's been any improvements in terms of electrical reliability, even in the current models. But they could be wrong.

BMW, the service at Audi sucks. I've only had 1 electrical issue with my M3 but it was a quick fix.

I'm a VW enthusiast, but I'd have to say BMW on this one. I personally like most Audi's better than most of the BMW's, but they do have quite a bit of problems. I don't think I'd say electronic anymore, if you're going with something newer. VW/Audi had some nasty electrical problems from the 80's-90's but they have cleaned up quite a bit. Consumer Reports repair record for some year, gave VW the third worst, and then audi was maybe 6th worst or something? I love my VW's though!

your title is flawed. being more superior to the other is a double positive. like the more better of the two. plus, superiority is a term which gauges quality relative to another thing to be compared

anyways, although the newest bmw interiors look nicer than the old boring everything in the middle design, it's become such a common car, that it's almost not really considered as a luxury vehicle anymore. they're a nice drive, but really, it depends on what year you're out to buy. if you're going to buy a new one, go for it. the newest generation of bmw looks fantastic

but i would say audi wins out in my book. the electronic problem isn't very common in models issued after '03. the electronic problem is really the only draw back imo.

They both make pimp cars. Saying one is more superior over the other can be argued indefinitely. I like BMW better overall, but I like Audi's styling more. Doesn't BMW have the regular maintenance paid for a period of time? I give it to BMW then hehe.

service. as long as you have warranty then you are good to go but if not all i can say is Bmw is very very expensive.
but im sure audi is just as pricey.

quality. the brand name bmw is more highly rated than audis.
audi is a vw and bmw is a bmw. i dont know for sure about audi but i know some vws these days are built in america.
both audis and bmws have their seperate flaws that most owners all experience (i can start a list for bmw and ive heard about audis as well)

however the 3 series is nice and brings a lot of luxury.
the a4 1.8t is a real nice car for the price and its nice inside and out and cheap for a euro car to mod (u can add 30-40 hp for 500, for bmw: no) either way european cars are expensive

I always wanted an audi 1.8t and still want one now but i ended up getting a 325i. :] still satisfied though.
