i became interested in japanese. series after watching ima ai ni yukimasu, nodame catabile, hana yori dango and hana kimi so i'm looking for more japanese. movies/dramas.
uh please say something about what you recommend

hmm~~do you like cakes and sweets? if you do then i recommend you Antique ^^ the drama have many many and very very nice cakes XDDDD~~<333333 the story is about how the main character had to let go of his dream and look for other path in his life. it also tells the story of the workers of the antique shop(it's a cake shop XD) and the customers^^ it's quite funny & cute! but it's a very old drama though i usually forget the drama i've seen but i remember this one. you can read more about the drama from dramawiki (^o^)~~gomen~~~~

[edit]i just found out there's a new korea movie called antique. is it the same????!!!! nevermind...

drama: Nodame Cantabile, Iryu Team Medical Dragon, Orange Days, Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, My Boss My Hero, LIFE, Hotaru no Hikari (and others.. there are many good dramas around there)

^^ I am going to have to disagree with iluvsuju. Antique is funny in a subtle way. I understand why people might like it, but for me... it was kinda boring.

My suggestions... Orange Days (about a relationship between a guy and a deaf girl), Gokusen (teacher student relationship), & Proposal Daisakusen (a guy going back in time to confess to a girl, who is getting marry).

Since you've watched Nodame and assuming you like the cast- I recommend the movie Summer Time Machine Blues, Juri and Eita are in it. The plot is genius and hilarious- a sci-fi group gets their hands on a time machine and travels back to yesterday to prevent their air conditioner from being broken.

^I'm going to have to disagree with Deathnote. I love Deathnote, but the movie just didn't cut it. The CG is fabulous, but it's like Harry Potter. If you've read the original, it just sucks. And the editing was pretty bad. There were too many fade in transitions.

But 1 Litre of Tears definitely.

I 100% agree with anyone who mentioned 1 litre of tears. It's definitely a MUST SEE. You're totally missing out if you skip out on that one...

nobuta wo produce is pretty good too.

be with you -- i love it!!! my all-time fave!
casshern -- kind of...weird? sci-fi but it kept me interested/entertained...the ending was pretty cool

DRAMAS:
PRIDE!!!! -- i just finished it and i love itttttt!!!! too cute! i love takuya kimura! haha
1 litre of tears -- T_T made me cry in every episode! excellent acting by erika sawajiri and the actress that played her mother....
