I cant seem to find a tread that about this.. if there is please point me to it!

Im looking for a good, safe product to increase my metabolism and give me more energy to work out the fat I have.. safe as in you can buy in GNC or a local drug store…

I’ve tired Hydroxycut but I find it spends up my heart rate a little too much.. although I did lose 5 lb in one bottle..(of course with a good meal plan also) i would like to try something else

Any good products you would recommend? How was the results? please share

i've been hearing people mention some diet pills that has the name "hoodia" with it. i'm not sure what exactly it is but you can check it out...hoodia.

i saw some diet patch but i'm skeptical they could do anything. i wish it a diet patch was true tho...i wish it as easy as a diet patch.

the safest one is alli since it's approved and all.
the other one i am aware of is Cylaris

but every diet pill except alli are supplements so you still need exercise & good meals.
i don't know, i was tempted to take pills to lose weight but i'm too paranoid ahahah
but my friends have taken them and they showed results-but they gained it back on.

as long as you use the pill to lose weight & keep exercising to keep the fat off, i think it's all good

Hydroxycut is a very strong mixture. It shouldn't be consumed by younger people. The only way to really increase your metabolism is to eat more, eat more frequenly, and to build muscle. If you wanna sure those products, go to GNC or whatever and talk to the people there. They should help guide you to the right product.

i tried diet pills a few years ago with my friend, when we were young and naive!
i remember we were in year 10 i think, and we bought some 'herbal' diet pills from the chemist. unfortunately i don't remember the name..
but after awhile they started to make my heart hurt sad.gif i know it sounds weird, and it wasn't heartburn it was like an achey feeling.
sometimes i'd feel really ill as well, like something was very wrong.

i personally wouldn't suggest diet pills, it's just not worth the harmful side effects to your health.
i also heard (can't guarantee fact!) that they speed up the aging process?

you something thats not a stimulant? i would try something thermogenic such as dicana but lethargy is a side effect with that

theres also a method called drinking 3 glasses of water

1 glass before a meal

1 glass during the meal
and 1 glasss after

it helps you eat less

plus it helps you flush out sodium and acts as a natural diuretic biggrin.gif

waters good for you!

I wouldn't recommend any diet pills to anyone, they have a lot of side effects to it and the weight you lose will not last, hence you will gain it all back.

The only thing I would suggest is Protein powders. They keep you full longer and they promote lean muscle mass.

Stop falling for those diet pills/fat burner gimics!!!

Any weight you lose can be maintained with a proper diet and exercise routine and a lifestyle change.

I've found that diet pills don't really do much other than possibly suppressing your hunger and giving you a boost of energy because of the stimulants like caffeine. Then again, you could just drink a lot of black coffee or tea. It's ultimately up to you whether you really want to lose weight -- you can't just sit on the couch and expect to lose inches with these pills. They're not magic and the key to weight loss is indeed, will power. I wouldn't use thermogenics or stimulants, though, until you've reached a plateau in your weight loss. Start with dieting and exercising.

On-topic, I've found that Lipo6 by Nutrex (which contain yohimbe which may or may not be legal in your area) helped me during my weight shift, showed slightly better results than dieting alone, and I didn't experience any side effects other than having just a little too much energy sometimes. Take my review with a grain of salt, though, because everyone's bodies are different and yours may react differently. I've taken other brands like Hydroxycut and SlimQuick and all they did for me was keep me up at night because my heart was beating out of my chest.

EDIT: I just realized this thread is from 2007.

I'm trying Oxyelite Pro right now. It's a fat burner and is supposed to make you sweat more when you work out and give you more energy.
http://supplementrev...bs/oxyelite-pro it has pretty good reviews and has no reported side effects after taking it xD but i personally haven't lost any weight and i started like 3 weeks ago. and it's like $40 at GNC.

Jack3d by USP Labs isn't quite a focused diet supplement, but it does give you energy when you workout.  It's actually a pre-workout supplement (powder you mix with 8oz of water 30 minutes before go time) that will help you push past the fatigue and pain when exercising.  It's fantastic.

I haven't tried any supplements, but if you really want to be safe, better just go slowly with the easy way to boost your metabolism without the pills. Things like
-> a glass of water right when you wake up (or like soompier mentionned, also one before every meal),
-> an easy 10 minutes routine stretching (also when you wake up),
-> breakfast at any cost and
-> making sure you have enough vitamin B (all of them) and dairy (bacteria in yogurt help digestion thus improve your metabolism)
can definitely boost your metabolism. Hydroxycut might speed up your heartbeat too much, so opt for the "legal drug" aka coffee instead :P if not, go for tea, tea contains caffeine too.

Combine all those stuff and you probably have all what it takes to boost your metabolism while doing the aerobic exercises to lose weight. Save your money on the supplements :)

For Men:

This is my stack:  Nature's Bounty Ultra Man Anti-Oxidant Multivitamin, USP Labs Jack3d, Scifit Kre-Alkalyn 1500, and Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey.

I take 2 multivitamin pills, 2 Kre-Alkalyn pills, and 8oz (1 scoop) of Whey in the morning.

I take 16oz (2 scoop) of Whey in the early afternoon.

I take 2 Kre-Alkalyn pills and 2 scoops of Jack3d approximately 30 minutes prior to my 7pm workout.

I take 16oz (2 scoop) of Whey immediately after my workout and also eat a meal consisting of veggies and carbs.

Remember to drink TONS of water if you're planning on using Creatine supplements like Kre-Alkalyn.  I mean TONS.  If you don't, the supplement won't be as effective, you'll likely cramp, and you'll feel dehydrated (headaches, dizziness, etc).

Eat more healthy, work out more.

Stop trying to find the easy way out, shortcuts are bad for you.

I hope that comment wasn't direct towards me.  Please believe, I eat well and workout daily.  It's important to understand that vitamins + supplements don't replace eating healthy and working out, they are merely allowing me to push harder and gain nutrients I would otherwise not consume through daily food intake.  Lol if you think vitamins + supplements are "shortcuts".
