Sweaty Hair? How to fix this....

I don't know if this sounds strange or not, but a while ago, I noticed that when my friend lays her head on my shoulder,
there's a really strong, sweaty smell coming from her hair/scalp.
I realized that I have that too. It's not really sweaty, it's just the smell. I wash my hair everyday, so I'm sure that's not the problem.
What can I do to get rid of this?

I think its the same for everyone. When its hot outside, there will be an odor coming from your head. I don't think shampoo/conditioner will help with the smell. What I used to do is rub a little bit of lotion on both of my hands and then massage it in my hair. It helped masked the smell.

Um I think that's a natural scent. It's a very strong smell so don't worry about it. Why not use scented products to mask it then? I spritz perfume in the air and walk through it.Um I think that's a natural scent. It's a very strong smell so don't worry about it. Why not use scented products to mask it then? It's natural. If you don't like it, spray your hair with something lightly scented.

first of all. i dont think washing your hair everyday is healthy for your hair.
my friend is like a hair profssionist or something.
he like.. well i dont actually know him. my friend knows =him. but like yea anyways
he said washing your hair everyday actually damagese/hurts your hair
your hair eventually gets depended on it and will sweat easily and produce a weird smell in a short period of time
u can wash your hair everyday. but try not to use conditioner or shampoo or anything.
so now i dont wash my hair everyday
i used to think. washing my hair everyday is good cuz your clean
but u cant be clean all the time. especially your hair. your going to kill the bacteria that moisns your hair.
if u kill all of em. your hair will produce more oil to moisn your hair because the bacteria isnt there anymore. nd yea..

well my mom told me to alternate in shampoos/conditioners each week. Like, this week use shampoo & conditioner A, next week use shampoo & conditioner B, and then switch back to A, and so forth. Supposedly, if you keep using the same shampoo/conditioner, your hair will get used to it and then it will be easier to produce oils on your scalp. So if you alternate, then there will be less oil which = less of a sweaty smell.
also, you can change your pillowcase more often. lol. xP
