i was wondering how long will it take for a ear piercing that was pierced today to close up. i think it's too far from my second one and would like to close it and repierce it. though a friend of mine said that i have to wait till it fully recovers plus a month more, because i'm going to pierce it a little to the bottom left and she says that i have to wait for a long time.. is this true?

and does it leave a small jab of meat sticking out on the back on the piercing after it heals...?

what should i do? because it looks really wearid, since it's a bit too far away from my second piercing.

Well not a small jab of meat, but like the back of the ear theres that point that stiks out? i'm not sure =/

i've never heard of "small jab of meat " sticking out...
maybe you should get that checked?

but you have to leave your earrings in for 6 weeks
after you pierce them

just leave your earrings in for 6 weeks, and after that you should be fine to take them out.
if they were pierced with a gun, the earrings might be jammed in quite tight so it may be easier to get a friend to take them out for you.

you have to make sure though, when you take them out to keep them clean still and if it's infected DON'T LET IT CLOSE!
because if your piercing is infected, and the skin closes around it.. the infection stays inside your ear and a cyst can form.

but if you have any doubts, go back to your piercer!

Uhh .. The small jab of meat is quite concerning.
I think you should go back to the piercer to check that. And ask about the healing process.

But I think your friend has got the general jist right.
I have no idea, but I'm guessing six months?

so i to wait 6 weeks till the piercing heals (with the stud i have on currectly). then take it out and it'll close up by itself in a matter of time...? right? or no. ? *clueless* >__<

if you wait 6 weeks & take it out, it should close up within a couple of hours.
