has anyone played resident evil 4? it's so much better than the other resident evils & the game goes on for ages!
i have it on playstation2, and was wondering if anyone has it on wii? is it any better?

also does anyone know the release date of re5?

yea, resident evil 4 is pretty good. i hope that they will remake the other resident evil games to have resident evil 4's gameplay. i haven't played it for wii, but my friend has and he says that the zombies seem to be harder to kill, aka it takes more bullets and knife slashes. and don't take my word for it, but i think i heard re5 is gonna come out late 2008?

easily my favorite action game of all time. the controls were WAY different from the previous RE games and made it so action packed. there are some epic fights in that game and it had me hooked. I played the Gamecube version and never played the Wii version.

Love this game as well, have it on PS2, but I hear it kicks even more ass on the Wii.

Resident Evil 4 was awesome, unfortunately once again Capcom didn't pay much attention to the story and dodged it completely with the revamp of the series.
Here's to hoping RE5 has an actual story this time around and judging from the trailers and gameplay clips, RE5 is using a slightly tweaked RE4 engine just with prettier visuals. Feel free to knock yourself out kittn...

I never play shooter type games because I get extremely jumpy while playing (which consequently does not help my aiming). But I love watching people play.

I watched my boyfriend beat the game on GC, and it really seemed like a lot of fun.

So just a couple of days ago, I picked up the Wii version for myself to give it a try on my own... And I'm having trouble on the first part, lol (as expected).
I remember there was a path you could take, like into a house, to dodge all the towns people, but I don't remember how my boyfriend did it.
So I've just been trying to take the whole place head on with my VERY limited amount of ammo... My last attempt wasn't so bad until I got myself corned in a house and ambushed by the chainsaw guy and his posse.

My boyfriend told me the first part is one of the hardest, and I really hope he's right, because I want to get on with the rest of the game!

The movies are nothing at all like the games, to even link the two mediums borders on being just down right blasphemous.
I'd play the 4th game first since it seems well received by beginners.

i loved this game. awesome. i played RE 1,2,3,CV and i gotta say this one was the best of them...although it sorta throws out the old "survival horror" thing.

aww yeah :S those baghead guys always scared the crap outta me ; id always be in a panic when there was one in the area, ugh.

just a lil thought: i hear cliffyb (lead designer of epic games and gears of war) loved this game. i have a feeling he got the lancer/chainsaw execution sequence from this game. i wouldnt be surprised if that was the case
