Hey everyone I was watch one of KKrap22 vids and she was explaining about Hyo Shin real B-Day in Sept.? I asked her permission if could post this here she said it was ok! She told me that she never heard of soompi before, that just seems unreal..


Korean counts the birthday differently than Americans do. We have two birthdays. One is how we count by the year that we are borned. So for PHS, he was borned in 1981. So his Korean age is 27. It'll be 28 when the calender turns 2008. But as for another birthday(like american birthday), he's 26. And will be 27 officially next year in December.
He's actual real birthday is in September 1st(he was actually born on this date), but I guess his parents reported his birthday to be Dec 1st on birth certificate paper wise(few of my friends have different official birthday than their actual birthdays, so it's not uncommon), so his fans celebrate both dates~.
If your birthday was in Jan. Then you'll be considered a year older than the rest of 1981 born people~. Because Lunar calender ends 2 months later than the calender we are using in the west. Think of Korean age as terms. You don't have 0 term year. As soon as you enter office, it's year 1. So that's how korean people counts age. If you were borned on Dec 31st 1981. You're still the same as as people born in March 1981.
And anyone borned on the same year will have same korean age. it gets complicated when we bringing in the Lunar calender. Then the people who were borned on Jan. and Feb. will be considered 1 year older than the rest of months, so they go to school a year early. So even if you were borned on the same year 1981. <a name="bYFoIzONuAg">
Marked as spam So when we meet koreans, we ask people's birth year to calculate their age faster. "What year are you?" will be the most common question. ^^ And people can't be friends(in korean sense) unless you're the same age. If you're one year older or something, then we have to respect you, so we'll call you differently(hyung or noona, ohppa or un-nee), etc.

It makes me sad that not that many people recognize him as much as other artists. In my opinion he's one of the best singers. He way too underrated. He actually has talent as opposed to some artists that I have seen or heard, no offense. Hopefully in the future more people will acknowledge him.

yah i think so too hyo shin oppa is one of the underrated rated artist in korea and that makes me feel sad
on the other note it makes me feel happy and contented because i've got to know such an artist with the voice from heaven
and hearing his voice is one of the best thing for me.....

What can i say? Bad taste? Park Hyo Shin isn't in the list. Peeves me to no end. Some just don't know what is a good album and go on recommending what they think is good. Maybe a poll for good albums will be better than this? It will be far more accurate. I am sorry to say so but some albums on this list totally sucks.

Hah, maybe i overeacted. I wouldn't have said anything if the list was good but i was certainly disappointed when some pretty bad albums were up. Like the recommended albums which was supposed to contain a few good songs. Well, i actually listened to "the Breeze of the Sea" back to back. I wasn't very into Park Hyo Shin until this album. So you can't really call me an ardent fan since i only liked "snow flower" prior to "Breeze of the Sea". I was only blown away after watching him live in all the performances. So i guess some due credits should be given to Park Hyo Shin. Haiz.

PHS's album should be on that list! and i would also like to mentioned that its so hard to see him on tv? currently theres alot of stations' which held their music festivals, and i tuned in faithfully hoping to catch PHS on it, but there isnt any, guess he is quite low profile?
