How the hell can you treat the best singer in Korea like that, sheesh.

Damn... this sucks not only for PHS (obviously), but for us, the fans, since that means we probably won't have a sixth album for a long, long time. D;
Even though that's not as much of a concern right now, of course.

[마이데일리 = 남안우 기자] 가수 박효신(27)이 30억 원에 달하는 손해 배상 소송에 휩싸였다.

박효신의 전 소속사였던 인터스테이지 측은 지난 31일 서울 중앙지방법원에 전속 계약 불이행에 따른 30억 원의 손해 배상 청구소송을 제기했다. 인터스테이지 측이 제출한 소장에 따르면 박효신이 10억 원의 전속 계약금과 12억 원 선급금 등 총 22억 원의 이익만을 취한 채 전속 계약에 따른 활동에 협조를 하지 않았다고 주장했다.

이어 �정규 5집 음반 발매를 지연시키고 소속사와 연락을 끊은 뒤 전속 계약에 따른 의무를 성실히 이행하지 않았다�고 주장했다.

박효신은 지난해 5월 부산에서 열릴 예정이었던 단독 콘서트를 앞두고 건강상의 이유로 공연을 연기하는 등 전국 투어 콘서트 일정에 차질을 빚은 바 있다. 인터스테이지의 나철원 대표는 �계약금만 챙기고 전속 계약 의무를 이행하지 않아 회사 경영에도 큰 지장을 초래하고 있다�고 밝혔다.

이에 박효신 측은 대응 방안에 대해 논의 중인 것으로 알려졌으며 일방적으로 전국 투어 공연을 잡아 놓고 티켓을 오픈해놓는 등 무리한 스케줄로 건강이 악화됐다고 주장했다. 박효신 측은 전속 계약을 다 채우지 못한 것을 감안해 계약금 일부를 돌려줄 생각이 있다고 전했다.

=( i hope some established record companies will back/support hyo shin up and win the case, this will definitely kick na won far away from hyo shin's sight! hope hyo shin stay strong!!!

doing the concert even if he was terribly sick

I feel for PHS, what a raw deal. I hope he gets an excellant lawyer to help him out. It's not like they have fulfilled their role as his management company. I am worried about this whole situation, just praying they lose this lawsuit. I hope all the supporters keep his spirit up.

Finally the lying corrupted record company has done it again! darn broken promises, evil companies, and ridiculous schedules.... it breaks my heart to know that park hyo shin is going through so much even at this stage of his career... for crying out loud... it's not like park hyoshin is a new singer anymore... far from it...
the music industry, by which i mean the greedy money grabbing companies, has to start showing some respect.... argh... this is so unbelievable

awww, i'm sad to hear all of his troubles with the record company... i hope it will work itself out soon so he can focus on his music and not their crap! Man, aren't their labor laws in korea to prevent things like this??? It has to be illegal what they are doing; I mean it boards on slavery; working someone like that!!!

I just read about this at my friend blog. Evil company... i think this is why he never won any awards at all last year. maybe his ex-co got something to do with it. after this he should think and seach new company that will be more suitable with him. Maybe he can join wheesung co.

This is sad... I hope Hyoshin would be fine in the end... It's not his fault that he's sick and that they company is too cheap to pay up... This really sucks... The company doesn't even have enough evidence!!!

What's the latest on Hyo Shin?..I hope he will win the case and he will record with some other better company. Plus he will sing like he used to do, deep and soulful..i dont quite dig his present style when i saw some vids of him sang 'live in concert'. I love the YDLL performance tho'!!!

I think he's better off being his own producer. I thought the norm now is to be a free artiste, i.e. not bound by some stupid contract. Omo, does it mean that i have to wait a long time before his latest album. I just realised Vol 5 is already 1 year old!

Is it sad that I know where every single clip was from? Ahaha. ;p

Man, it sucks that we hardly get any updates on his whereabouts in the legal battle and all that jazz.
Hope this all gets taken care of soon. The Breeze of Sea got me through 2007, now I need a sixth album to get me through 2008. ^^

personally i think he'll sound awesome singing any classic (as in not poppy) song by john mayer... "daughters" would be perfect for him

and for some strange reason i would also like to hear him sing circle of life by elton john
